Study On The Development,reliability And Validity Of The Nursing Clinical Evaluation Exeicrse Scale

ObjectiveTo develop Nursing C linical Evaluation Exercise Scale and to test the reliability and validity of the scale, the scale with strong pertinence, operational, scientific, also can assess the clinical nursing ability of undergraduate nursing students. The application of the scale for the assessment of clinical nursing ability of undergraduate nursing students, aiming to provide an effective measurement to evaluate students in clinical nursing ability of undergraduate nursing assessment, the scale can improve the scientificity and rationality of clinical nursing ability of undergraduate nursing students,also can provide the basis for the evaluation of nursing education method in our country.Methods1. To establish the experts group and to formulate nursing Mini clinical evaluation exercise scale through interviews with experts and foreign and domestic related literature review, select twenty experts involved in nursing education, clinical nursing, nursing management in this three areas. We formated 8 entries and evaluation reference pre scale after two rounds of expert consultation on the basis of Delphi-Method and after the scale of the increase, delete or modify entries according to expert opinion. The pre scale was used to assess the nursing ability of nursing students in 10 undergraduate internship.2. In 2014 September to 2015 February, we selected 30 internship undergraduate nursing students of a tertiary hospital and 12 teachers of the department using the convenience-sampling method, and then we trained them in order to avoid the subjectivity in the evaluation process. The department teachers used the Scale in clinical scenario walkthrough evaluation in clinical nursing ability of under graduate nursing students. We used the decision method of correlation coefficient and the internal consistency coefficient method and determined if the item has no cut, mini clinical evaluation analysis of nursing exercise amount of internal consistency re liability, split half reliability, content validity and construct validity through the collecting scale data. Results1.The authoritative coefficient of each index were 0.81 and 0.83 of the experts andthe effective recovery rate were 90% and 88.9% through Delphi-Method.The result meet the statistical requirements and reflected the experts on the study of the concern and support. The expert coordination coefficient were 0.319 and 0.236(P<0.01) through two general indicators survey, this illustrateed the opinion of experts coordination was good, and the survey results was desirable.2. We developed 8 items of C linical N ursing evaluation exercise combining the expert opinion. We used decision value method to test the high and low group two item scores through two sample t test, the result was had statistical significance(P < 0.01), the discrimination on scale was good. Scale correlation coefficients between the total score and the score of each item was 0.640 ~ 0.817, the result was had statistically significant, the correlation between item score and total score was good. The validity and reliability of the scale①the internal consistency reliability: 0.780 was the total table ’Cronbach’s α coefficient, all dimensions of the Cronbach’s α coefficient was 0.749 ~ 0.762. ②the split half reliability: the two halves of the Cronbach’s α were: 0.808 and 0.811, scale split half reliability coefficient was 0.842. Scale the split half reliability was 0.885. ③The structure validity: extracted a common factor principal by component method, variance contribution rate was 55.445%, it was consistent with the idea of scale. ConclusionsThe study of the preparation of the C linical Nursing Evaluation Exercise Scale included 8 items, namely care visits, nursing examination, nursing diagnosis, nursing measures, health consultation, humanistic care, organizational effectiveness, overall evaluation, through analyzing the application scale had good reliability and validity. Therefore,the Scale can assess the clinical nursing ability of undergraduate nursing students, provide new evaluation tool for undergraduate nursing students in clinical nursing skills assessment.The application of the scale can achieve teaching benefits for teachers as well as students, and constantly improve the teaching quality for clinical nursing undergraduates.
