Objective: The physiological function of old people gradually decline.Theirendocrine dysfunction are declining,with the reduction of hormones,such as secretion ofgrowth hormone,thyroid hormone,sex hormones.Calcium and phosphorus metabolism isaffected.These factors lend to varying degrees of osteoporosis. According to Chinesemedicine,the basic pathogenesis of osteoporosis is the kidney, and the biochemicalindicators of osteoporosis are osteocalcin, active vitamin D3, β-specific sequence ofcollagen, type I collagen total extension peptide, parathyroid hormone, etc.So the mainresearch study is the relationship between varying degrees of deficiency in elderly malepatients and several biochemical markers of Osteoporosis.Methods: Ninety patients met deficiency syndrome were elected according to the1986edition of "Chinese deficiency syndrome reference ".And according to Yan Shilin "deficiency syndrome semi-quantitative study of operating standards," the extent of thedevelopment of deficiency rating scale was worked out.All the patients were divided intogroups of mild deficiency, moderate deficiency group, three divisions of severe deficiencyaccording the score.Then all patients fasting blood detect osteocalcin,type I collagen totalextension peptide,βspecial sequence of collagen, vitamin D3, parathyroid hormone levels,and bone mineral density in patients examined, recorded value T,Z value check the resultof applying statistical software SPSS17.0statistical analysis.Results: Mild deficiency group of25patients aged69to92years, mean age(82.46.2) years old, moderate deficiency group of35patients aged75to90years,mean age (82.73.9) age group of30patients with severe deficiency, aged73to96years, mean age (83.14.1) years, each group showed no significant difference (P>0.05)in age. Univariate analysis of variance, the total group of type I collagen deficiency in varying degrees to extend the peptide, osteocalcin, vitamin D3,βspecial sequence ofcollagen, bone mineral density Z values,the level of bone mineral density T-score wasstatistically significant among the three groups (P<0.05), parathyroid hormone levelsshowed no statistical significance between the three groups (P>0.05). Average number ofpairwise comparisons using LSD-t test, the results show: the total extension of type Icollagen peptide, osteocalcin levels between the three groups had significant differences(P<0.01); bone mineral density T-score, bone mineral density Z value other than mild andmoderate groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05), the other two groups wasstatistically significant (P<0.01), vitamin D3levels of mild and moderate, mild and severegroup, with statistical significance (P<0.05), moderate and severe groups, no statisticallysignificant (P>0.05); β levels of collagen special sequences mild and moderate groups, nostatistically significant (P>0.05), mild and severe group, the moderate group and severegroup had significant differences (P<0.05). Osteocalcin, type I collagen total specialsequence, parathyroid hormone,βspecial sequence with collagen deficiency severity scorewas positively correlated with the deficiency that the severity of these detection index isrising (0<r<1);vitamin D3, bone mineral density T-score, Z values of bone mineral densityscore was negatively correlated with the degree of deficiency, that deficiency with theseverity of these detection index decreased (-1<r<0).Conclusion: With the severity of deficiency,the total special sequence of type Icollagen,osteocalcin,βcollagen special sequence, parathyroid hormone levels increased,while levels of vitamin D3is gradually reduced, and with kidney Yang and the severity ofbone mineral density T-score, Z values also showed a decreasing trend,with these findingsillustrate the severity of deficiency,the degree of osteoporosis is gradually increased,alsoproved kidneys bone marrow close relationship with osteoporosis.
