Objective:To explore the relationships between four Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome types and β-degradation sequence,The total N-terminal extension of type I collagen peptide in the primary osteoporosis patients, and provide theoretical and experimental evidence for the differentiation of symptoms and signs and classification of primary osteoporosis. Methods:According to the diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria to choose the primary osteoporosis patients who are conformed with standard.85cases were seperated into four groups according four Traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes,The first Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome was deficiency of kidney-yang group,The second one was yin-deficiency of liver and kidney group,The third one was yang-deficiency of spleen and kidney group,The fourth one was blood stasis due to stagnancy qi group. There was no significant difference in gender distribution, age distribution, disease duration and body mass index(BMI)(P>0.05).The bone mineral density(BMD) of lumbar vertebrae from the2nd to4th,left femoral neck and greater trochanter was measured with dual energy X-ray absorptiometry. The β-degradation sequence(β-cross laps),The total N-terminal extension of type I collagen peptide(tPINP) levels were detected with electrochemiluminescence(ECL) method. The variable inherent relationship of β-degradation sequence,The total N-terminal extension of type I collagen peptide in different syndrome types and the bone mineral density(BMD) were analyzed with analysis of variance. Results:The contents of β-degradation sequence(P-cross laps),The total N-terminal extension of type I collagen peptide(tPINP) in the blood stasis due to stagnancy of qi group were higher than the deficiency of kidney-yang group,yin-deficiency of liver and kidney group,yang-deficiency of spleen and kidney group, and the differences were all significant[(0.77±0.14),(0.57±0.11),(0.62±0.14),(0.50±0.11) ng/ml;(69.04±12.65),(41.63±7.39),(34.16±5.60),(36.47±3.98)ng/ml P<0.01];The level of BMD of lumbar vertebrae from the2nd to4th were lower than the deficiency of kidney-yang group, and the differences were significant(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in the comparison of the level of BMD of left femoral neck and greater trochanter(P>0.05). Conclusion:The levels of β-degradation sequence(β-cross laps),The total N-terminal extension of type I collagen peptide(tPINP) may be regarded as the objective examinational indexes to distinct the blood stasis due to stagnancy of qi syndrome with the rest syndrome. There are objective bass in differentiation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome. The relationships between four Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome types and BMD can be used for clinical reference.
