Clinical Observation Of Xingnaotiaoshen Acupuncture With Yizhiyin For Treating The Vascular Dementia

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of Xing Nao Tiao Shen acupuncture method cooperate with Yi ZhiYin in the treatment of obsessed with the vascular dementia (VaD) kidney essence deficiency type.Methods:62 cases were included in the clinical subject which were diagnosed with the vascular dementia kidney essence deficiency type. Falloff in 2 cases.60 patients were randomly divided into experimental group and the control group (n= 30) with the ratio of 1:1 design. The treatment group add Xing Nao Tiao Shen acupuncture(40 minutes treatment,1 times per day) and YiZhi Yin (1 dose,bid)treatment. The control group add the western medicine donepezil (aricept) (7.5mg,qd)treatment. The two groups were both with the conventional drug therapy. A course of 8 weeks. To objective evaluate and analysis of the changes in the intelligent status, daily life ability, and the symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine in two groups before and after treatment.Result:These two groups have significant differences in MMSE scale. ADL scale. Chinese medicine symptom scale before and after treatment (P< 0.05). The total effectiveness have improved of the treatment group and the control group respectively was 83.3%、 53.3%, the effective percentage of difference has significance (P<0.05). The comparison after eight weeks treatment for those two groups, the Chinese medicine symptom scale has notable different from the control group (P<0.05), the MMES scale and ADL scale show no notable different from the control group (P> 0.05).Conclusion:1. The Xing Nao Tiao Shen acupuncture method cooperate with Yi ZhiYin and the western medicine donepezil groups all have affirmative and effective results to treat vascular dementia in clinical studies.2. The Xing Nao Tiao Shen acupuncture method cooperate with Yi ZhiYin group compares with the donepezil group, it’s curative effect is more significant in Chinese medicine symptom.3. The Xing Nao Tiao Shen acupuncture method cooperate with Yi ZhiYin and the donepezil groups have the same curative effect to improve patients’ intelligent status and normal daily living skills.
