Objective:To observe the effect of penetration needling combined with rehabilitation therapy in the treatment of the Shoulder-Hand Syndrome(SHS) after ischemic stroke, and to provide more effective methods for the treatment of SHS.Methods:60 cases included in the standard of shoulder-hand syndrome patient were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. There were 30 cases in each group.Patients in the treatment group which selected the three groups of acupionts which originated by master Wang Yue-ting, were treated with penetration acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy, and control group which treated by common acupuncture (referring to the second edition of acupuncture in the new century) combined with rehabilitation therapy. Two groups of patients were one time per day with acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy,30 minutes each time, six times as one period of treatment, one day off between two courses, a total of 4 periods of treatment.Using the visual analogous scale(VAS、Fugl-Meyer assessment scale (FMA)、edema degree to observe the therapeutic efficacy. All data were dealt with SPSS 17.0 statistical software. Results:There were no statistical differences in gender, age, duration of disease and treatment in the two groups (P>0.05). By statistically analysising the result with four courses of treatment, scores of VAS and FMA has a significant difference (P<0.01), both groups can relieve pain, improve limb movement function. The scores of VAS and FMA in the treatment group and the control group were statistically different(P<0.05), and the effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group. There were significant differences in edema degree before and after treatment (P<0.01), which indicated that both groups can improve edema degree, and the treatment group was better than the control group. The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.52%, the total effective rate of the control group was 85.67%, and the treatment group was better than the control group. Conclusion:Two methods both have good curative effect on treating Shoulder-Hand Syndrome(SHS) after ischemic stroke, and they could obviously improve the patient’s clinical symptoms. But the penetration acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy in the treatment of the Shoulder-Hand Syndrome(SHS) after ischemic stroke was more effective than common acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy group.
