Three Fat Needle Acupuncture Point Catgut Embedding Combined With Clinical Research On Acupuncture Treatment Of Simple Obesity In Adults

Objective:Research the clinical effect of catgut implantation at acupoint of "fei san zhen" in combination with acupuncture to treat simple obesity in adults. To dicuss the standard solution of catgut implantation at acupoint in combination with acupuncture to treat simple obesity in adults.Methods:Totally selected 70 cases are from acupuncture clinic of the first affiliated hospital of guangzhou university of TCM in January 2014 to December 2014.70 cases all meet the diagnosis criterion of the simple obesity.10 from 70 were excluded due to no completion of the whole 4 courses of treatment in our observation.60 cases are successfully collected into our analysis, with 16 males and 44 females, from 19 to 55 years of age. Patients randomly divided into treatment group and control group, the treatment group treated by catgut implantation at acupoint of "fei san zhen" 1 times per week in combination with acupuncture 2 times per week and the control group treated simple acupuncture 5 times per week, we evaluate the efficacy after six weeks.Result and analysis1 Outcome messuresAfter treatment, the obesity index and symptom integrate were both obviously descended(P<0.01).These prompted that catgut implantation at acupoint in combination with acupuncture and simple acupuncture were all the effective treatments on simple obesity. There was remarkably statistical significance among catgut implantation at acupoint in combination with acupuncture and simple acupuncture on waistline(P<0.01).There wag no statistical significance among the two groups on body mass, BMI, hip circumference, thigh circumference, FAT and symptom integrate(P>0.05). The total eftective rate of catgut implantation at acupoint in combination with acupuncture group was better than simple acupuncture group, but there was no statistically significance between the two groups(P>0.05).2 Safety evaluationsAll patients did not have any abnormal vital signs, fainting reaction does not occur, no significant swelling of acupuncture sites, some patients may have subcutaneous bleeding, no acupuncture dependence and the aftermath reaction, most patients improved sleep, improved appetite, constipation disappear.Conclusion:The catgut implantation at acupoint of "fei san zhen" in combination with acupuncture was the effective treatments on simple obesity, and was better than simple acupuncture on improving waistline (P<0.01).
