Standardized residency training program in Shanghai was started in2010.The objective of this survey is to investigate the attitude of standardized residency training in Shanghai among the training residents and medical students. It includes four aspects. First, analyze the background of the standardized residency training program in Shanghai. Secondly, evaluate the attitude of the policy in residents. Thirdly, find out the viewpoint of the policy in medical students. Last but not least, provide a reference to the policy adjustment under the background of enhancing the training.The object of study is the first group of students recruited by training hospitals and medical students in Shanghai.Method Reference reviewing is used at first, then consultation in medical education, hospital management and clinical physicians. Analyze the data of health bureau. Questionnaires are used in the basis of the method described above. Expert consultation guides the investigation and data analysis.Epidata3.1and SPSS19are used in data entry and analysis. The results use descriptive analysis and the chi-square test.The survey shows that the promulgated "Trial Implement Measures of Standardized Residency Training in Shanghai" has a clear and detailed definition of the main part of the policy, as well as the responsibilities and rights.It also published a series of complementary measures to ensure the effective implementation of the policy. It had been selected and identified230bases in39hospitals for the first batch of Standardized residency training in Shanghai and successfully recruits1844residents.Training hospitals and bases actively implement standardized training, including strengthening teacher training and management, implementation of a wide range of all forms of training, strict examination system.Result More than eighty percent of residents believe that they have basic knowing about the policy of standardized residency training. It shows they are satisfied with the training content, base facilities and the teaching enthusiasm. But the satisfaction in living conditions, incoming, training methods and effect is lower. Nearly80%of the training objects residents approve that the basic skills of operation, typical cases teaching and discussing harvest more. Self-assessment on their clinical ability shows that:in addition to the medical English, residents basically believe that other aspects of clinical skills all have a certain degree of improvement. Medical student survey shows that:80%of medical students consider that they have basic understanding or a certain understanding of the policy. At the situation of publicity absence, nearly70%students hold an objective attitude on the policy, because of the low salary and difficulty in finding jobs after training. The teaching qualities of clinical teaching staffs differ from each others, and most students consider that the experience as an intern is not enough to be a qualified resident. Different policy make graduate students fluid among cities.Conclusion Standardized training residents do more actively efforts to learn clinical skills, teachers pay more attention to improve teaching methods and enhance the teaching ability, hospitals strengthen the management, assessment and evaluation of the training. Intensify policy advocacy through official and schools network platform, strengthen contact among training bases. Safeguard the rights of the residents, improve treatment, increase employment and increase the sense of belonging. Strengthen supervision and management training, pay attention to the quality of teaching. Improve activity of teaching physician, and effectively ensure the quality of training; Reform the medical school education to have a better connection with standardized training. Flexible policy develops more personalized and humanized.
