Objective1. To investigate the level of knowledge, health belief and health behavioramong population with high risk of stroke in community of Zhengzhou.2. To explore factors influencing of health behaviors among population withhigh risk of stroke in community of Zhengzhou.MethodsA descriptive research was used,540population with high risk of stroke incommunity were selected as subjects with a stratified random sampling. A set ofquestionnaires were completed, including demographic data, Stroke Preventionknowledge Scale (SPK), Champion’s Health Belief Model Scale (CHBMS) andHealth Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP II). The data were processed by SPSSSoftware Package (Version17.0). Descriptive Statistics, Independent-Samples T Test,One-way ANOVA, Pearson and Multiple Linear Regression were performed.Results1. Totally560population meeting the inclusion criteria were investigated, only540questionnaires were qualified, So the effective collect rate was96.43%.2. The standard score of overall stroke prevention knowledge was (66.13±15.46). The highest score was in the domain of nurtion, followed by daily life, signs of stroke,physical activities, stroke treatment, monitoring of blood pressure, risk factors ofstroke and the lowest was medicate.3. The mean score of overall health belief was (3.20±0.29). The highest scorewas in the domain of cues to action, followed by self-efficacy, perceived benefits,perceived severity, perceived barriers and the lowest was perceived susceptibility.4. The mean score of overall heaith-promoting lifestyles was (2.25±0.32). Thehighest score was in the domain of spiritual growth, followed by interpersonalrelations, nutrition, stress management, health responsibility and the lowest washealth physical activities.5. In a multiple liner regression analysis, cues to action, self-efficacy, the level ofknowledge about stroke prevention, average personal monthly household income andage were included in the regression equation of health behavior in population withhigh risk of stroke.These factors can explain65.3%of the variation of health behaviorin population at high risk of stroke.Conclusion1. In SPK, the domain of nurtion and daily life were in higher level, the domainof risk factors of stroke and medicate were in lower level.2. In CHBMS, the domain of cues to action and self-efficacy were in higherlevel, the domain of perceived barriers and perceived susceptibility were in lowerlevel.3. The health behaviors among population with high risk of stroke are at mediumthe domain of spiritual growth and interpersonal relations were in higher level, thedomain of health responsibility and physical activities were in lower level.4. Population with high risk of stroke at higher level of cues to action,self-efficacy, knowledge about stroke, average personal monthly household incomeand age had a higher level of health behaviors....
