Hydrological and climatic differentiation leads to the imbalance between precipitation andevaporation in arid inland region, Xinjiang has entered a bottleneck period that the problem oflacking water resource becomes serious. Water resources become the main factors restrictingthe Xinjiang society, economy, environment and sustainable development. Under the seriouslyinsufficient water resources circumstances in Xinjiang, this paper explores how to effectivelyreduce the water evaporation working a different angle of reducing consumption, innovatesnew water-saving technology to improve the efficiency of water resource supply, takes the caseof500reservoir at Changji in Xinjiang, selects the hollow plastic board as the test material tomake evaporation test, so as to achieve the purpose of saving water in plain reservoir surface.In this paper, through the mechanical calculation and performance test, the plastic hollowboard becomes a new anti evaporation material. And selects a certain number of plastic hollowboards which are with the measure of area for1.5m2, the thickness of15cm. conducts the fieldtest that lasts two years in partial coverage plain reservoir’s surface. Then adopt the comparisonof cross test, record the evaporation effect against different data layout and different size case,through analysis the data, the thicker the thickness of plastic hollow board, the evaporationeffect is much better, and the boards which are connected with each other is the best type. At thesame time, examine the anti-bending and anti-freezing again. Establish the local model of watersurface evaporation based on the influence factors and their numerical relationship. Throughcorrelation analysis, determine the model parameters, and then draw the suitable model forlocal situation, carry out the error analysis according to the data of many years.Experimental results shows that years of anti-evaporation is good.the efficiency is85.7%,For the effective use of inland arid area plain reservoirs of water surface evaporation capacity iseffect. And it is reasonable for anti-evaporation to select plastic hollow boards.
