With the continuous development of China’s aerospace industry, this has brought asignificant increase in the model types and quantities of products, and higherrequirements on the beat control. The problem about how to better achieve balancedassembly, reduce the time and minimize the waste of resources due to the inconsistentbeat time on different assembly stations, has gained great attention from the aerospacecompanies. In this paper, the aerospace product assembly balance process from oneaerospace company is taken as the research object. By conducting a reasonableassembly unit division in the newly-built plant, modeling the complex logistics process,and making optimization on the simulation model, a reasonable spatial layout planningof the assembly is achieved as well as the balance of the assembly process. Thefollowing studies are considered:Firstly, the basic properties of aerospace products and characteristics of the assemblyprocess are analyzed. The average assembly balance is regarded as the breakthroughpoint,and dynamic balance effects of assembly are modelled and studied.Secondly, according to the typical characteristics of assembly process of spaceproducts, assembly cell division method is put forward. On this basis, a reasonablerelationship between devices under different assembly unit is realized with PERT chart.Meanwhile, combined with the efficiency of learning curve, the uncertain factors duringthe assembly process of aerospace products, evaluation and optimization of thesimulation model is constructed.Thirdly, parametric modeling ideas is put forward, a configuration system of logisticsparameters model is established to achieve the one-way information flow from the datasource to the simulation model. By using XML as a cross-platform data exchangetechnology to read related process information of the model parameter interfaceautomatically, automatic adjustment of the serial and parallel of assembly logic processis finished, and a data-driven mechanism to automatically generate the model isachieved.Finally, the simulation optimization problems are studied. Besides, by setting theobjective of minimizing the smoothness index, an optimization model subjected to given the content of the assembly process, workshop layout, and logistics pathconstraint is established. Also, the number of key equipment is solved by the improvedgenetic algorithm.Finally, the assembly balance process of a particular aerospace product is used forcase study, and the effectiveness and feasibility of the method are verified.
