Net media caught this opportunity toattrack more reader by spreading mass of news, news comment on network got a good chanceto develop at the same time.This paper selects three home websites, SINA, SOHO and NETBASE, as examples,choosing sport news comment about South African World Cup as research object, using themethods of literature analysis, case analysis, comparison analysis, data analysis and experttalk, generalizing the concepts, types and the process of development, studying its features,summarizing the present status systematically, summarizing the disadvantages in presentstatus and finding out counter measures.By studying, we found: at present, these following problems have great influence on thedevelopment and construction of sports news comment on network: the quality of sports newscomment on network is too low; the layout and integration of comment are not reasonable; thecomment are not approved by readers; the advantages between new and traditional were notmixed; the resource of commentators is short; the words of comment are vulgar; the featuresof the websites could not be shown by comment.Face to these problems, the writer comes up with following suggestions: during theprocess of reporting sports news, we should use and study the advantages of new andtraditional media; improve the quality and authoritative of comment generally by usingexperts’ comment; control the phenomenon of vulgar words using by using the technology ofmedia filter and emphasizing self-control of readers; improve the self-quality of networkcommentators; solve the shortage of human resource of news commentators by excavatingand educating the talents on managing and writing.
