Graduate medical education is the necessary stage to train a qualified clinician. Relating to the quality of the training and construction of clinicians team, the standardized training of resident physicians is an important part of graduate medical education. How to control the quality of the standardized training of resident physicians is particularly important under the situation of growing number of training base and trainees. In order to fully grasp the situation of the standardized training of resident physicians in our province, to find out the problems of training quality control, and to explore and implement scientific and effective quality control strategies, the study on quality analysis and recommendation of the standardized training of resident physicians in Sichuan province has important significance.On the base of literature search, questionnaire surveys, focus discussion and in-depth interviews has been used to investigate training base, rainees, send-training unit and employing unit, through general surveys, stratified sample surveys and field research methods. Then the study collected the data of responses by using excel2007, and did reliability analysis, validity analysis, descriptive statistical analysis and variance analysis with SPSS19.0.This study concluded that the realization and quality of the standardized training of resident physicians in our province is quite good but still has imperfections in the micro-management and need to get more macro support after analyzing the situation of teaching conditions and teachers ability and the implementation of teaching programs in the different training bases in the different cities, analyzing the evaluation of the graduated trainees from employers, and comparing the nearly three years status of the qualification examination of doctors and graduating examinations of trainees in different training bases. And then, the main factors affecting the quality of the standardized training of resident physicians has been analyzed and discussed. The quality control and continuous improvement of micro process including teacher seniority, training bases, process management and other aspects and the co-ordination and supporting policies of macro process including national guidance policy, medical education system, social security system, dynamic and information management and other aspects have been discussed. And finally, this study proposed measures and policy recommendations of quality control combined with the relevant requirements of the Ministry of Health and the Sichuan.
