| In recent years, people gradually understand the dangers of bloodpressure normal high value through studying high normal blood pressure. An international10-year follow-up survey results showed thatpre-hypertension patients have2.2%relative risk of cerebral infarction,3.5%risk of myocardial infarction and1.7%risk of coronary arterydisease. About70%of patients with hypertension can be directlyattributed to obesity according to analysis. Overweight and obesity willbe important risk factors for the growth of hypertension prevalence inChina. Since obesity incidence and the development process are slow, itis difficult to arouse enough attention, young college students also sufferfrom overweight and obesity at different levels. They are important riskfactors for onset of high normal blood pressure. The relation betweenbody mass indicators and high normal blood pressure for universitystudents in Police College is studied; risk factors affecting collegestudent health are analyzed, thereby proposing management scheme andsolution for improving health of university students in Police Collegewith pertinence. They are important to improve body quality of peoplepolice team in China. Objective: In the study, body examination results of universitystudents in one Jilin Police College are adopted as starting point.Relation between body mass indicator and high normal blood pressure detection rate is analyzed aiming at detection rate of college studentoverweight and obesity as well as high normal blood pressure detectioncondition. Risky factors of college student overweight, obesity and highnormal blood pressure are discussed. Countermeasures and suggestionsfor improving unhealthy living mode are proposed, thereby providingreference for formulating targeted invention strategies.Method: Healthy examination data of2071students in grade2010,2011and2012of one Jilin police college in2013were collected.Database is established by Epidata software aiming at the collectedmedical data. SPSS17.0statistical software is used for statisticalanalysis. Results: Overall overweight rate for students in the college was22.0%. Obesity rate was9.3%. Total detection rate of overweight andobesity was31.3%; Overweight rate for male students was27.6%, whichwas higher than that of female students-12.5%(P <0.001); Obesity rateof students was12.9%, which was significantly higher than that offemale students-3.2%(P <0.001).2. High normal blood pressuredetection rate for students in the university is68.5%; hypertensiondetection rate was2.0%. High normal blood pressure detection rate ofstudents in grade2010,2011and2012were79.5%,71.1%and61.7%.The detection rates of high normal blood pressure in students of differentgrades have significant difference (P <0.001). High normal blood pressure detection rate was increased with the increase of grade; Highnormal blood pressure detection rate for male students was76.5%,which was significantly higher than that of female students-55.1%(P<0.001). High normal blood pressure detection rate for public securitymajor is72.7%, which was significantly higher than that for students notmajoring in public security-64.7%(P <0.001); hypertension detectionrates of overweight and obese students were78.5%and82.5%respectively, which were significantly higher than students withoutoverweight and obesity63.4%(P <0.001).High normal blood pressuredetection rates of students with overweight and obesity wererespectively3.1%and6.3%, which were significantly higher than thatof students without overweight and obesity-1.1%(P <0.001).3.Multi-factor logistic regression results indicate that grade, gender andBMI were independent influence factors of high normal blood pressure.Gender and BMI were independent influence factors for hypertension. Conclusion: Detection rate of overweight and obesity foruniversity students in one Jilin Police College is higher. The detectionrate of high normal blood pressure is higher.High normal blood pressuredetection rate of students in higher grade is higher than that of low grade. The high normal blood pressure detection rate of male students is higherthan that of female students. Multi-factor regression analysis shows thatgrade, gender and BMI are independent influence factors of high normal blood pressure. It is suggested that health management strategies shouldbe implemented in colleges, healthy management mechanism should beestablished, health management awareness should be strengthened.Health management efforts should be strengthened. |
