| Objective:This paper aims at summarizing common basic symptom types on diversified front-mu acupoints, single acupoints and matching acupoints in ancient Chinese medical books, by means of comprehensive statistics, classification and analysis about basic symptom provisions of single acupoints and matching acupoints of various front-mu acupoints recorded in related ancient Chinese medical books and literatures. Meanwhile, it concludes the common matching acupoints in each basic symptoms and their frequency of usage in ancient literatures, in order to define common basic symptoms in ancient books or literatures, their characteristics and laws of matching acupoints in commonly used acupuncture points. Hence, it can provide inquiry and data support for clinical applications and scientific research of symptoms types and common acupoints of front-mu acupoints in ancient books or literatures.Methods:This paper, based on Chinese Medical Classics, the fourth edition published by Hunan Electronic Audio and Video Publishing House as a searchable database, ranks the names of twelve front-mu acupoints and nicknames of different front-mu acupoints as search terms. It firstly screens and eliminates the terms of front-mu acupoints in ancient literatures via search terms and then summarizes and classifies literature terms which are in accordance with the entry standard, finally conducts statistical analysis of these terms, so as to obtain basic symptoms types, common acupoints and their frequency of usage of single acupoints and matching acupoints of front-mu acupoints from analysis results. Consequently, it makes a summing up of features and laws of matching acupoints for symptoms and treatment of front-mu acupoints on the basis of different frequency of matching acupoints. Results:As a result, we establish a database on basic symptoms of front-mu acupoints and on laws of matching acupoints by screening and sorting related ancient books and literatures. Additionally, front-mu acupoints are mainly used for treatment of corresponding viscera, phase exterior-interior viscera and local adjacent viscera through summarizing corresponding symptoms of front-mu acupoints and frequency of usage of matching acupoints. And the law of matching acupoints includes Compatibility of shu and mu acupoints, Compatibility of the front-mu acupoints, Compatibility of yuan-source and mu acupoints, Compatibility of mu and he-sea acupoints, compatibility of the regional acupoints compatibility of the front-mu and crossing acupoints etc. particularly Compatibility of shu and mu acupoints and Compatibility of the front-mu acupoints as relatively in common use. Moreover, statistics show that Sanyinjiao acupoints is cooperatively used with Zhongji and Guanyuan acupoints. And each front-mu acupoint is often used with Qihai Zusanli and Zhongwan acupoints to cure relevant symptoms. |
