The Research On Grass-roots Employment For The Nurse Students Of Vocational College

The grass-roots medical work is an important part of our public health enterprise. And the nurses are one part of the health workers, they are also the backbone force of the development of grass-roots medical work. With the development of social economy, people’s need for health and health service have grown. The requirement of the nurse’s quantity, quality and structure become higher. Now, the circumstance in the grass-roots medical institutes is not good, the equipment is obsolete, and the management system is missing. Also, the distribution of health workers is uneven between the town and the city in our county. They are the direct reasons why it is so hard for people to get medical service from those institutes. On the one hand, the rural area is lack of qualified nurses. On the other hand, the nursing students don’t want to go to the rural area. A series of preferential policies have come out form the national government and the local governments these years, in order to encourage the graduates to work in the gross-root area, and encourag good health workers to work in the rural area, community and mid-west area. These preferential policies bring about a striking effect. The college graduates who went to the grass-roots areas have a rise in quantity. But, there is still a gap compared with the requirement of solving the employment problems and the manpower demand in the grass-roots areas. By means of collecting the documents of employment problem and grass-roots employment policy of the college students, the paper analyses the employment of the nursing students, and comes up with several advices to encourage students to work in grass-roots level from the part of the society, the primary unit, the school and the students themselves.
