The Clinical Research Of Herbal Medicine Jianpi Funai Tang On Subjects With Impaired Glucose Tolerance

Objective: Study the clinical treatment effect and mechanism of action of Chinesepatent drug “JianPi FuNai Tang” whose main principles of prescription are yi qi jian pi huatan huo xue on patients with IGT.Methods: There were60patients who were randomly divided into treatment group(30cases) and control group (30cases). All the participants had received the basic cure，thetreatment group was given JianPi FuNai Tang,and the control group was given metforminhydrochloride enteric-coated tablets.Both groups to30days for a period of treatment,observe three treatment.The main observation indicators are the clinical symptoms,theblood sugar,blood fat and glycated hemoglobin,insulin levels,body mass index,waist-hipratios etc.Results: The blood sugar,blood fat and glycated hemoglobin,insulin levels,body massindex,waist-hip ratios,clinical symptom of the treatment group were obviously improved,which showed significant difference from the control group.During the tests adverse reac-tions did not appear.And in a year later’s follow-up,diabetes conversion rate of thetreatment group is lower than those of the control group.Conclusion: The compound method of Yiqi jianpi expectorant huatan huoxue methodcombined with behavior intervention had curative effect on IGT patients:decrease lipidsugar,reduce weight index and waist-hip ratios,improve the insulin resistance;the clinicalsymptoms of IGT can be obviously improved,the drug can be safely used and it mayreverse IGT and delay the procedure of IGT-to-DM,which proved the validity of TCMtreatment,and once correctly applied the TCM dialectical therapy to reduce glucose tolera-nce will have a broad prospect.
