| Purpose: Gain a deeper understanding of the curative effect of cupping on children’s asthmaby studying this issue, and explore the mechanism of cupping in treatment of the asthma, thusprovide a more effective option for clinical treatment.Method: Choose60children asthma patients qualified for the cupping therapy acceptingcriteria at the clinic and treatment departments of our hospital based on the conditions,symptoms, physical signs and related analytical laboratory results. Divide them into2groupsrandomly according to the stochastic comparison principles, each with30patients. Thetreatment group is treated by regular Chinese and Western medicines, supported by thecupping therapy,3times a day, and3days as one course of treatment. Observe the therapeuticeffectiveness. The control group only takes western medicine symptomatic treatment and oralChinese medicine syndrome differentiation treatment, and we compare their curative effectsand analyze the integral data in terms of symptoms, physical signs, X-ray slices and wheezingsound disappearing time observed before and after treatment in both groups after one courseof treatment.Result: After clinical research of60children patients and statistics calculation, clinicalcontrol rate of the cupping therapy group (treating children asthma with the assistance ofcupping) is43.33%and the total effective rate is96.66%; clinical control rate of the controlgroup is26.66%and the total effective rate is80.00%; the disappearing time of asthma soundin Cupping Therapy group(3.90+/-0.369days); the disappear time of asthma sound in thecontrol group (5.43+/-0.471days); The clinical control rate and total effective rate of thecupping therapy group is apparently higher than that of the control group. Comparing the twogroups, and there are significant differences (P<0.05), which meet the statistics requirements.After comparing the cupping therapy group and the control group, we find that with theassistance of cupping therapy, the wheezing sound apparently disappears and the course oftreatment is shorter. The cupping therapy group is apparently superior to the simple commonChinese and Western medicine treatment.Conclusion: My mentor, Professor Feng Xiaochun, has been working in clinical pediatrics formany years and had extensive treatment experience. Combining with the great side effectsbrought by the application of hormones and other medicines in the treatment of pediatricasthma, the mass application of the cupping therapy by choosing specific acupuncture pointsand meridians on body surface to dredge the channels and expel the evil can significantlyrelieve the symptoms of sick children, such as dyspnea, cough, breathing difficulty andimprove the absorption of wheezes, while avoiding the systematic application of hormonewith big dosage, shortening the course of therapy and boosting the immune system, finallyachieve the purposes of prevention and treatment of the disease. This solution is simple,convenient, with a low price and an excellent effect. More and more people pay muchattention to the external treatment methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the range ofapplicable methods is becoming wider in treating the children asthma, and therefore has apromising application prospect. |
