Study On The Influencing Factors And Strategies Of Tacit Knowledge Inheriting In Traditional Chinese Medicine

Background:As a characteristic medicine, TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) has a long history. In addition to containing a large number of explicit knowledge, we can see TCM as a tacit knowledge treasury under the hidden iceberg. Tacit knowledge of TCM is the source of sustainable competitive. With the rapid development of social economy and the deepening of the reform of medical and health system, the government has increased the support of TCM, the scale of Chinese medicine education is also larger every day. However, the development of TCM did not achieve the desired effect. Instead, TCM health care market is in ceaseless atrophy. TCM featuring treatment means are fading away gradually. The experiences of old and famous doctor have not been fundamentally inherited. These issues have caused us to worry about TCM inheritance and development.Objective:The research mainly adopts the method of theory and empirical study to dig into the influencing factors of tacit knowledge inheriting in TCM.Content:Firstly, on the basis of the existing literature, this paper summarizes the results of previous studies. Combined with the knowledge of the characteristics of the TCM, this paper constructs the theory model and research hypotheses of the influencing factors of tacit knowledge inheriting in TCM. Through on-the-spot investigation, questionnaire survey was conducted for more than400TCM doctors in7TCM hospitals such as Suzhou Hospital of TCM. Based on the results of empirical research the paper puts forward the strategies to promote the inheritance of the tacit knowledge in TCM.Methods:Literature study; In-depth interviews; Delphi method; Field investigation method; Statistics and analysis method.Result:This paper announces the influence mechanism of tacit knowledge transfer in TCM, structures the conceptual model and proves the model based on the results of empirical research. At last the paper puts forward the promotion strategies.Conclusion:Knowledge characteristics, heritage willingness, organizational context and the social environment are the four dimensions which influence the inheritance of the tacit knowledge in TCM. The paper puts forward the strategies to promote the inheritance of the tacit knowledge in TCM.
