Climical Investigations On The Treatment Of Primary Dysmenorrhea Of Congealing Cold And Blood Stasis With Wenjing Zhitong Formula

Objective: To observe the clinical effects of Wenjing Zhitong Formula in curingprimary dysmenorrhea of the cold coagulation and blood stasis and discuss the mechanismof it. Methods: To divide78patients with primary dysmenorrheal of the cold coagulationand blood stasis into three groups randomly. Treatment Group I (26patients. To take theWenjing Zhitong Formula orally for two months from seven days before the menses till thethird day of the menses period), Treatment Group II (26patients. To take the WenjingZhitong Formula orally for two month and take medicine after the menses for twenty days)and Control Group (26patients. To take Shaofuzhuyu Capsule orally for two month andtake the medicine after the menses for twenty days). Observe the improvements of theclinical symptoms, marks and TCM syndrome of the three groups after the treatment aswell as the RI of uterine artery blood and changes of hemorheology of the three groups ofpatients. Results: In clinical effects, the two treatment groups show better performancethan the control group and mark significant differences (P<0.05). However, the twotreatment groups have no marked differences (P>0.05), but the effect of the TreatmentGroup II is much better than that of the Treatment Group I. The two treatment groups bothreduce the blood resistance of the uterine artery and improve the viscous of the blood,both showing great differences compared to those before treatments (P<0.05). Conclusion:Wenjing Zhitong Formula marks good treatments in curing primary dysmenorrhea of thecold coagulation and blood stasis, improves the clinical symptoms of the patientseffectively, reduces the blood resistance of uterine artery, improves hemorheology andshows that the time that the course of treatment lasts has some effect on clinical effects.
