Clinical Investigations On The Treatment Of Primary Dysmenorrhea Of Congealing Cold And Blood Stasis With Wenjing Zhitong Formula

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Wenjing Zhitong Formula on treating Primary Dysmenorrhea (PD)of congealing cold and blood stasis, and to explore its mechanism of action ,and provide scientific basis for its clinical application.Methods:60 cases of Primary Dysmenorrhea were randomly divided into treatment group(30 cases,treated with Wenjing Zhitong Formula),and the control group(30 cases,treated with Shaofuzhuyu Capsule). Both groups started at 7 days before menstruation and lasted 10 days ,a course contained 3 menstrual cycles. Before and after treatment, the analgesic effects, the clinical efficacy and the change of Uterine artery blood flow parameters of PI (pulsatility index), RI (resistance index),the Hemorheology, the prostaglandin (PGF2α)in the menstrual blood,estradiol (E2), progesterone (P),Nitric oxide (NO), endothelin (ET)and ?-endorphin (?-EP) in serum would be compared.Results:The total efficiency of the treatment group and control group were 96.7%,75.9%.Two groups had significant differences (P<0.05). On the acesodyne effect ,the effective rates of the two group are 96.7%,75.9%,the difference has statistical significance (P<0.01). After treatment, Hemorheological parameters were significantly improved (P<0.01).The treatment group decreased low-shear whole blood viscosity, high-shear whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity better than the control group (P<0.01). PI,RI,PGF2α,E2,ETwere obviously deceased (P<0.01) ;but P, NO, ?-EP were significantly increased (P<0.01),the differences of the two groups are all significant (P<0.05 or P<0.01). In the course of this study found no significant adverse reactions. Conclusion:Wenjing Zhitong Formula can treat PD of congealing cold and blood stasis through its good acesodyne effect and regulating the body as a whole . The mechanism may be relevant reducing blood viscosity, relaxing blood vessels, protecting the vascular endothelium, promoting blood circulation; improving microcirculation of pelvis cavity ;regulatinovarian hormone level and regulating the speed of the synthesis of endogenous analgesic substances.
