Representation of popular culture towards the social reality is worth to research. Study of journalism image from the representation of popular culture should be concerned. As a delegate type of media culture in the US, Hollywood films convey the specific attention to both journalists and journalism. Sampling journalism movies from1940—2010in Hollywood, this research adopts the techniques of content analysis and narrative analysis, discusses journalistic overall spectacle from the depiction of Hollywood film culture, as well as exploring the delivered value about journalism.This research is considered as a new method to cultural significance interpretation of the Western media image. According to the research, Hollywood movies show the positive attitude substantially toward American journalism, besides reflection. Additionally, this research has found the reconstruction of journalism in Hollywood movies is mainly focused on the vicissitude of power within the journalistic system. Therefore, it can be seen that the political and professional spirit of journalism is praised highly by popular culture from Hollywood films.
