Design And Implementation Of Video Conference System Based On Flex

With the rapid development of the company, there are more and more subordinates centers and offices throughout the country for the company, due to Communication increasingly frequent, The traditional way of communication,such as travel interview, Email and teleconference, has not been able to adapt to the demand of information interaction in time now, travel and teleconference cost are high, it brings a certain financial burden for the company. Therefore, we need a new way to communicate. This way is immediate, expressions is rich, and its cost is low. According to the requirements, the company decided to develop the video conference system by the Development Center.In this paper, we mainly discusses the Flex technology. RIA(Rich Internet Application), has better network interactive ability and more brilliant performance, is the major driving force of the Rich Internet Application development. For this system,Flex is the main technology platform, use Flash Media Server as the streaming Media service.,use ASP.NET technology to realize background logic and use SQL Server2005as the system database. This system has two parts, the front display and the background management. The front part uses the Flex to realize the text, audio, video communication and sharing drawing, and permit hosts to manage the participants. The background part uses the ASP.NET to realize the users management, meeting plans management, system page management, Conference room management and other management functions.In this paper, according to the video conference system, analyze on how to use Flex platform to produce the RIA applications, make a detailed introduction to video conference system design and realization process, and also introduce how to connect the database, how to publish the video stream by Flash Media Server, and how to deal with other technical problems.
