Durkheim is the famous educationist and sociologist in France, and his theories of moral education has become the most important part of education and sociology. Durkheim, Marx and Webb were known as the three founders on sociology. Because France was in the period of social transformation, Durkheim studied the crisis phenomenon in social transformation period and countermeasures, puts forward a systematic theories about moral education. And proposes great content of moral education content, methods and the laws, which thoughts to deal with moral crisis during the period of social transformation in China, has a positive significance for strengthening and improving the moral education in Colleges.The thesis is divided into four parts of the study of Durkheim’s thoughts. The first part reviews and discusses Durkheim era background and his thought origin; basic content of the second part provides an overview of Durkheim’s thoughts on moral education, including moral education task, content, methods of moral education, and analyzes the basic characteristics of Durkheim’s thoughts on moral education; the third part uses the dialectical materialism of Marx’s viewpoint and method, refers to the previous evaluation of stem moral thought of Durkheim, analyzes the positive significance and historical limitations of Durkheim’s thought on moral education; the fourth part points out the important enlightenment of Durkheim moral education to our current situation of moral education in colleges.
