Postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMOP) is one of the common types of osteoporosis, ovarian dysfunction in the pathogenesis and women after menopause, estrogen levels decreased significantly closely related. With the lack of estrogen cause bone metabolism negative balance, bone resorption accelerate the destruction of the bone microstructure, impaired bone tissue reconstruction, to reduce the amount of bone, thus affecting the bone strength, increased bone fragility, ultimately leading to osteoporosis. Causes of postmenopausal osteoporosis include menopause, age at menopause, body weight and other factors. The disease with Chinese medicine is classified as "Gu Wei". Modern doctors of traditional Chinese medicine on treatment of this disease have focused; differentiation is weak. Instructor in medicine based on the classical theory of summarizing the clinical experiences, collection standards of TCM syndrome type of antibody. In this study, the analysis of existing patient medical records of syndromes features at the same time, combined with risk factors research to further explore the advantages of TCM prevention and treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis, with Western means of diagnosis and treatment improving efficacy. Objective:Through questionnaire investigation, and TCM symptoms analysis combined laboratory related check, summarizes existing topic of osteoporosis outpatient postmenopausal osteoporosis cases, for TCM four diagnosis collection parameter, judgment differentiation card points type, and records patients general situation, onset factors and the blood General, and blood biochemical, and thyroid features, and serum bone metabolism indicators, and bone mineral density and other physical and chemical indicators, the use of statistical methods to explore the characteristics of postmenopausal osteoporosis of syndromes. Different TCM syndrome and age at menopause, weight such as the relationship between the risk factors, evidence dialectical reasonable, unified and standardized, quantitative, objective dialectical standards and ultimately help early diagnosis and treatment and intervention to strengthen the prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis, to provide objective for Integrative Medicine clinic characteristics basis.Methods:150cases are randomly selected by Guang’anmen Hospital of Endocrinology, Osteoporosis special outpatient visits in the period from September2011to February2013. A retrospective survey, record the patient’s general condition, including gender, ethnicity, age, height, weight, body mass index (BMI), age at menopause, past medical history, as well as the performance of symptoms and the physical and chemical examination, including blood, blood biochemistry, thyroid function, serum bone metabolism indicators, dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry acquisition lumbar (L1-4) and femoral neck (Neck) bone mineral density, which in turn from the general risk factors between TCM distributing for analyzes. Statistical analysis data use SPSS18.0software package for statistical analysis.Results:From150randomly selected subjects screened132patients who met the case into the results of statistical analysis, excluding medical records of18patients (<20%).132cases of postmenopausal osteoporosis with osteoporosis, major symptoms are characterized by lumbar knee soreness or pain, wiry pulse, dizziness, weakness, hypochondriac pain and cold limbs. Distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes:Yang deficiency of spleen and kidney<liver-kidney Yin deficiency<kidney Yang deficiency<Qi stagnation blood stasis, Qi stagnation and blood stasis type up, followed by the kidney Yang deficiency and Yin deficiency of liver and kidney, spleen-kidney Yang-deficiency type is relatively rare. No statistically significant between TCM syndrome and BMD, still cannot simply by BMD measured values to the TCM Syndrome Types. Syndromes associated with the incidence of fractures have a certain, highest rate of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type of fracture, there was a statistically significant (P<0.05), blood stasis and fracture has a certain relevance. Four types of TCM syndrome and there is comparability between pathogenic factors. On the age distribution, age of spleen-kidney Yang-deficiency type is larger than the other three groups, there was a statistically significant (P<0.05).On the menopausal age distribution, spleen-kidney Yang-deficiency type menopausal years is larger than the other three groups (P<0.05), kidney Yang deficiency type menopausal years is greater than Qi stagnation and blood stasis type (P<0.01).On the distribution of body mass index, body mass index less than the kidney-Yang deficiency due to Yin deficiency of liver and kidney failure (P=0.038,P<0.05).Between the various syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine serum calcium and serum25-hydroxy Vitamin D3was not statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusion:Postmenopausal osteoporosis incidence, prevalence increased early diagnosis and intervention, the strengthening of prevention measures to reduce the prevalence of important. Study finds that increase in age, menopausal, and weight are the risk factors of the disease. Postmenopausal osteoporosis in traditional Chinese medicine divided into kidney Yang deficiency syndrome, kidney-Yang deficiency syndrome of the spleen, liver and kidney Yin deficiency, syndrome type of Qi stagnation and blood stasis. Syndrome of four must be representative, and is associated with common risk factors. It can provide objective evidence for syndrome differentiation and treatment of Chinese and Western medicine.
