Objective:This project is to study the effectiveness and safety of Pediatric Jingxing Zhike Granule in the treatment of Exogenous Cough by wind-cold transforming to heart pattern.Method:Following the diagnostic criteria of acute bronchitis of Western medicine and Chinese medicine cold hot card, screening48cases from the Hubei Province Chinese Medicine Hospital outpatient from October2009to June2010. Ratio of1:1:1were randomly divided into the high dose group, the middle dose group, and the low dose group. According to the statistical analysis, there was no significant difference among three groups in their age, gender and course of disease before the treating. The study is comparable. Each patient is Respectively to high, medium and very low dose of son Jing apricot and cough particles. Taking methods are3-6years old, every time a bag.3-14years old, every time two bag. Warm boilded water, three times a day.5days for a course. After the treatment, three groups were compared in terms the effectiveness of the medicine on the disease, main syndrome score, symptom total score and onset time.By observing blood, urine, stool, and electrocardiogram, liver, renal function and the emergence of adverse reactions of the selected patient prior to and after the treatment of, its safety and effectivenss is evaluated.Result:1. Comparative efficacy of diseases:high, and middle dose group, the total efficiency is93.75%; extremely low dose group, the total efficiency is31.25%, the high dose group, middle dose group, with extremely low dose group (P<0.05) differences were statistically significance; the middle dose group compared with the high dose group, P>0.05, the difference was not statistically significant. The clinical cure rate of the high dose group is higher than that of the middle dose group, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).2. Comparison of the results of the main syndrome (cough, lung auscultation and cough):Before the treatment, three groups showed no significant difference (P>0.05). Comparison of pre and post treatment, high and middle dose groups were significantly differenct (P<0.05), post treatment was significantly better than pre treatment. But the low dose group showed no significant difference (P>0.05) before and after treatment. The differences among the high dose group, the middle dose group and the low dose group were statistically significant (P<0.05); but the difference between the high dose group and the middle dose group is not statistically significant (P>0.05).3. Comparison of the results of the symptom:Before the treatment, three groups showed no significant difference (P>0.05). They were comparable. Comparison of pre and post treatment, high, middle, and low dose groups were significantly different (P <0.05), the effectiveness of the post treatment was significantly better than the pre treatment. The differences between pre and post treatment among the high dose group, middle dose group and low dose group were statistically significant (P<0.05); but the difference between High dose group and middle dose group is not statistically significant (P>0.05).4. Comparison of the results of the onset time:Three groups made statistically significant difference in taking the time of onset of action, the effectiveness of the medicine on the middle dose group was found earlier than that of the low dose group, and the effectiveness was found earlier on the high dose group than on the middle dose group.5. before and after treatment, blood, urine, stool, liver function, electrocardiogram, renal function are not found abnormal and there were no adverse reactions among the three groups. Conclusion:The very low dose particle treatment is ineffective; ingxing Zhike Granule in the high dose and the middle dose groupJ have the exact effect of treatment of children with Exogenous Cough. There were no significant differences in improving the TCM symptoms, but high-dose were better than low dose group in the dose time. The result showed Jingxing Zhike Granule were safe and reliable. It can be applied broadly and is, worthy of further research and promotion.
