Clinical Study On Shufeng Qingfei Zhike Recipe In Treating Cough, Wind And Heat And Stagnation Of Pulmonary Syndrome After Infection

Purpose: To observe the clinical effects for wind-heat obstructing lung type of post-infectious cough by Shufeng Qingfei Zhike decoction, at the same time to evaluate its safety and efficacy.Methods: 60 cases of PIC were divided into treatment group(30 cases) and control group(30 cases). The 30 ones in the treatment group were treated with Shufeng Qingfei Zhike decoction, while the 30 ones in the control group were treated with Compound Methoxyphenamine Capsules combined vitamin C tablets, The course of treatment and observation are 7 days for both groups. To evaluate the clinical efficacy by observing the score of visual analogue, the score of classification of syndromes quantitative, the time of cough relief time, the disease’s course and other indices of both groups before and after the treatment are observed.Results:(1) Comparison of the overall curative effect, the total effective rate was 93.33% in treatment group, higher than that of the in control group(70%)(P<0.05).(2) Comparison of the visual analogue, the score of visual analogue after treatment is 2.57 ± 1.89 in treatment group, lower than the control group 3.76 ± 2.07(P<0.05). The resullt illustrated that the treatment group in relieving cough symptoms than the control group.(3) Comparison of the main score symptoms, the score of the main symptoms after treatment is 3.20 ± 2.07 in treatment group, lower than the control group 5.91 ± 3.18(P<0.05). Upon the improvement of the main symptoms, the treatment group is better than the control group.(4) Comparison of the secondary symptom score, dry throat, dry stool symptom scores after treatment in treatment group are lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). In alleviating the symptoms of dry throat and dry stool, the treatment group is better than the control group. Comparison of sputum, dry mouth symptoms scores of the two groups after treatment, there were no significant statistical differences between the two groups(P>0.05).(5) Comparison of the total scores of TCM symptoms, the total scores of TCM symptoms after treatment is 3.77 ± 1.76 in treatment group, lower than that of the control group 7.09 ± 1.92(P<0.05). In the improvement of the symptoms of PIC, the treatment group is better than the control group.(6) Comparison of the effect onset time of cough, the average of effect-acting period in cough is 30.40 ± 9.20 hours in treatment group, shorter than that of the control group 32.80 ± 10.42h(P>0.05). Two groups had no significant difference in the effect onset time of cough.(7) Comparison of the disease’s course, the average course in treatment group is 4.95 ± 0.92 days,shorter than that of the control group 5.57 ± 1.05days(P<0.05).Conclusion:Shufeng Qingre Zhike Decoction has a good clinical curative efficacy in the treatment of PIC wind-heat obsructing lung type, and can shorten the course of disease, Meanwhile no obvious adverse reaction was observed during treatment.
