The Systematic Review About The Treatment Of Ulcerative Colitis With Chinese And Western Medicine

Objective:Evaluation the efficacy and safety about the Chinese and Western method of treatment on ulcerative colitis (UC) with the method of systematic review and RCT Meta-analysis methods, to identify the current problems on the clinical studies of UC, and to develop an effective clinical treatment of UC programs provide strong evidence.Method:Retrieval CMCC、CNKI、CBM、VIP、MEDLINE、PubMed、Embase、 SCI、CBM and the Cochrane Library, incorporated the Chinese and Western medicine methods on treatment of UC with randomized controlled trials (RCT) study published in medical journals at home and abroad in1991-2011, Two evaluators independently extracted data, according to the Cochrane systematic review methods (Through collection, evaluation and synthesis the results of clinical studies, come to the combined effect of the interventions, provide strong evidence for health decision-making and clinical practice), studie the quality assessment one by one of included, Then extract the data using Meta-analysis with Revman4.2.2software medicine.Result:113articles involving a total of7740patients in randomized clinical trials met the inclusion criteria, the results showed that combining Chinese and Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine treatment of UC alone has certain advantages, the efficacy is better than treatment only with Western medicine, Combination therapy and simple to use inf liximab are more effective than along use5-ASA, glucocorticoids and immunosuppressive agents, showing a reduction in the number of diarrhea, shorten the relief time and hospital stay, improvement the anemia and other systemic symptoms, the endoscopic mucosal recovery well, and the tests found no serious adverse reactions.Conclusion:1、Information currently available to support that combining Chinese and Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine treatment of UC alone to be better than only with western medicine, and the effect was statistically significant (P values were less than0.01);2、Combination therapy and simple to use infliximab are more effective than along use5-ASA, glucocorticoids and immunosuppressive agents, and the effect was statistically significant (P values were less than0.05);3, Differences in efficacy between the control group, no statistically significant (P values were greater than0.05)。But because of the data reporting standards have no uniform, so there are still have a large bias,Therefore,we need more further randomized, large sample, multi-center study.
