OBJECTIVE: To explore the clinical efficacy of Gegen Qinlian Decoction combined with Baitouweng Decoction plus Changmei(Osalazine Sodium Capsule)in the treatment of ulcerative colitis(active stage)and Changmei(Osalazine Sodium Capsule)alone from the aspects of symptoms, endoscopic response, mucosal healing, clinical remission, changes of activity index before and after treatment, and adverse reactions.Whether the results of lesions in the same period are different.METHODS: All the cases were from the expert clinic of Professor Li Tianwang,Department of Spleen and Stomach,Huayuan Mountain Hospital and Guanggu Hospital of Hubei Province from March 2017 to October 2018.All cases have been diagnosed as UC by other hospitals or our hospital. The syndrome of damp-heat in large intestine and/or liver depression and spleen deficiency are dialectically diagnosed by experienced physicians in the Department of spleen and stomach diseases.40 patients were randomly divided into two groups according to the time sequence:Gegen Qinlian Decoction and Baitouweng Decoction plus or minus Oxalazine Sodium group as the clinical treatment group,Western medicine Oxalazine Sodium group as the clinical control group,in which 20 patients in the treatment group and 20 patients in the control group, all patients had improved electrocardiogram, liver and kidney function before treatment, and the results were not significantly abnormal. After 8 weeks of treatment, the symptom scores of both groups were counted again.Statistical methods were used to calculate and compare thestatistical symptoms score after substituting the statistical software SPSS19.0.Chi-square test was used for counting samples;t-test was used for comparing the difference of mean values between two groups of independent samples;rank sum test was used for comparing grade sample data.Excluding the differences in gender, age, course of disease and the mean score of clinical symptoms before taking medicine between the two groups(P > 0.05),the treatment group and the control group can be compared.Ask and record the clinical symptoms after taking medicine, and ask the patients to review the electrocardiogram, liver and kidney function after completing the course of treatment, observe whether the two groups have adverse reactions to the body, and finally compare the effect of the two groups after 8 weeks of treatment.Western medical effect was evaluated by improved Mayo scoring standard, and each item was statistically compared.According to the clinical symptoms,TCM efficacy was evaluated according to the main symptoms and secondary symptoms. The total score of TCM symptoms was calculated and compared. The difference between the two groups was judged by comparison,so as to observe whether there was significant difference between the two groups,so as to observe the same effect of TCM decoction combined with oxalazine sodium in the treatment of ulcerative colitis. Is there any difference between the patients with stage disease and the control group treated with Changmei alone?Result: After detailed comparison between the two groups, theeffective rate of the treatment group was 95% and that of the control group was 80%.It showed that the effect of Gegen Qinlian Decoction combined with Baitouweng Decoction combined with Changmei was more reliable than that of Changmei alone(P< 0.05).At the same time, the treatment group was more reliable than that of the control group in improving the three main symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine(P < 0.05).According to the improved Mayo scoring criteria, the two groups were effective in improving individual item scores(stool bleeding, diarrhea, endoscopy findings, physician evaluation, activity index)(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in clinical efficacy, endoscopic response and mucosal healing between the two groups before and after treatment(P > 0.05),but only in clinical remission, the treatment group was more effective than the control group(P < 0.05).In this experiment, the number of obvious adverse reactions was 0,and there were no obvious abnormalities in ECG,liver and kidney function before and after treatment. Conclusion: Gegen Qinlian Decoction combined with Baitouweng Decoction plus Changmei is effective in the treatment of ulcerative colitis.Gegen Qinlian Decoction combined with Baitouweng Decoction plus Oxalazine Sodium Capsule has obvious advantages over Oxalazine Sodium Capsule alone in treating ulcerative colitis with Damp-heat Syndrome of large intestine and/or liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome.Gegen Qinlian Decoction combined with Baitouweng Decoction and Osalazine Sodium Capsule in the treatment of ulcerative colitis has obvious advantages over the control group in clinicalremission rate. There was no significant difference in clinical efficacy, endoscopic response and mucosal healing between Gegen Qinlian Decoction and Baitouweng Decoction plus Osalazine Sodium Capsule in the treatment of UC and control group.Gegen Qinlian Decoction combined with Baitouweng Decoction and Osalazine Sodium Capsule have high safety in the treatment of ulcerative colitis.
