Tow sections are included in this paper:literature review and literature research.Literature review:Vitiligo is an acquired chronic pigment disorder, which dues to selective destruction of melanocyte. The morbidity of vitiligo is 0.5-1% on a global scale. This discosmetic dermatosis brings a great harm to patient’s physical and mental health, and sometimes the mental severity is far more than clinical severity. Therefore, for vitiligo treatment decisions, dermatologist not only should consider the effectiveness of the treatment, but also cosmetic demands of patients. At present, the main treatments include oral and external application of drugs, phototherapy, operation and so on. Operative treatment is suggested to be used on stable localized or segmental vitiligo. It has strict grasp of indications, high level of medical standards and conditions, and limited target population, which makes it not be the first-line therapy. So conservative treatment is still the main treatment. This literature review summarize the latest developments of conservative treatment.Literature research:Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of oral applied CHC in the treatment of vitiligo. Methods:Literature searches were comprehensively performed on several databases, including MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Clinical Trials, Chinese BioMedical Literature Database (CBM), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang database and VIP database. Risk and bias of the included literature were assessed referred to the Cochrane Collaboration. Data analysis was performed by RevMan5.3 provided by Cochrane Collaboration. Results:A total of 34 randomized control trials (RCTs) were included. Due to the exist of clinical heterogeneity,29 RCTs were for meta-analysis, while the others for qualitative analysis. Conclusion:Oral application of CHC is safe and effective as a n addition of conservative therapy. The curative effect maybe superior to basic treatment alone. But due to the qualities, sample size, and language restrictions of included literature, this conclusion needs more high-quality evidence.
