Therapeutic Effect Of Qinghua Huoxue Yiqi Guchang Method Combined With Western Medicine On Severe Ulcerative Colitis

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Qinghua Huoxue Yiqi Guchang method combined with western medicine in the treatment of severe ulcerative colitis.Methods Seventy outpatients and inpatients in Jiangsu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected.They were randomly divided into two groups,35 cases in the treatment group and 35 cases in the control group.The treatment group was treated with Qinghua Huoxue,Yiqi Guchang method combined with Western medicine,while the control group was treated with Western medicine.The course of treatment was 12 weeks.After the course of treatment,the clinical efficacy and safety of the two groups were observed.Results The clinical curative effect:Of the 35 cases in the treatment group,32 cases were effective,the total effective rate was 91.4%.Of the 35 cases in the control group,21 cases were effective,the total effective rate was 60.0%.After testing,P=0.004<0.01,it showed that the clinical curative effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group.Clinical remission:Of the 35 cases in the treatment group,17 cases in the treatment group had clinical remission,the remission rate was 48.6%.Of the 35 cases in the control group,12 cases in the control group had clinical remission,the remission rate was 22.9%.The test showed that P=0.045<0.05,which indicated that the clinical remission of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.Mucosal healing:Of the 35 cases in the treatment group,15 cases achieved mucosal healing,and the rate of intestinal mucosal healing was 42.9%.Of the 35 cases in the control group,6 cases achieved mucosal healing,and the rate of intestinal mucosal healing was 20.7%.After examination,P=0.036<0.05,there was statistical significance,indicating that the treatment group was superior to the control group in mucosal healing.Therapeutic effect of TCM syndromes:In the treatment group,there were 12 cases of clinical remission,20 cases of marked effect,1 case of effective and 2 cases of ineffective.The total effective rate of TCM syndromes was 94.2%.In the control group,there were 5 cases of clinical remission,16 cases of marked effect,10 cases of effective and 4 cases of ineffective.The total effective rate of TCM syndromes was 88.6%.After testing,P=0.011<0.05,the treatment group was superior to the control group in the curative effect of TCM syndromes.Symptom efficacy:Before treatment,there was no difference in TCM symptom scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,there was a significant difference in TCM symptom scores between the two groups(P<0.05),indicating that both groups could better alleviate clinical symptoms.Mayo integral:Before treatment,there was no difference in Mayo integral between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the Mayo integral between the two groups was compared.The test showed that the treatment group could significantly reduce the Mayo integral of patients with good curative effect.Biochemical indicators:Before treatment,there was no difference in ESR and CRP between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,ESR and CRP were compared between the two groups.The results showed that both groups could reduce the patient’s ESR and CRP.The CRP value before and after treatment was P<0.01,which proved that the treatment group had significant effect in reducing CRP.Safety Indicators:During the treatment,3 patients in the control group had mild liver damage,which returned to normal after treatment.No abnormalities were found in ALT,Bun,Scr and Hb during the treatment in the treatment group.The test P>0.05 showed that there was no significant difference in ALT,Bun,Scr and Hb between the two groups before and after treatment.Immunosuppressive agents,biologicals,complications and surgical transfer:No complications were found in both groups.There was no conversion to surgery.In the treatment group,immunosuppressive agents were used in 5 cases and biological agents in 3 cases.In the treatment group,immunosuppressive agents were used in 4 cases and biological agents in 1 case.Conclusion The results show that the method of Invigorating Qi and activating blood circulation,clearing away intestines and Guchang combined with western medicine has certain advantages in improving clinical efficacy,inducing symptoms relief,promoting mucosal healing,reducing the use of biological agents and immunosuppressants,and has good safety.
