Objective: This paper was designed to study the ralationshipe of IVF-ET(In vitrofertilization and embryo transfer) between emotion. Serum cortisol levels in the start dateand oocyte retrieval (ovum pick-up,OPU) was analyzed. Follicular fluid estrogen (E2),androgens (T) and cortisol levels of pregnant and non-pregnant patients, to explore theemotional factors of follicle development maturity.Methods:66infertile women was selected randomly with with a IVF controlledovarian hyper stimulation treatment long program. FSH, LH and E2was tested after themenstrual cycle2to3days. The number of antral follicles was tested by B ultrasonic. Starttime and Gn ampoules was decided. HCG was injected when monitoring of the dominantfollicle diameter is from1to3up to18mm, combined with the day serum LH, E2, P value, disable ovulation induction drugs. HCG was injected by vaginal ultrasound-guided oocyteretrieval after36hours. quotes Chi and serum cortisol level were tested when start theday and the OPU day, the follicular fluid E2, T level were determinated simultaneously.Results:(1)Emotional test results show that: Pregnant patients to start serumcortisol levels lower than non-pregnant patients, no significant difference; pregnantpatients to start serum cortisol levels lower than the OPU day, no significant difference;non-pregnant patients start serum cortisollevel(493.64±84.36) nmol/l lower than the OPUday(544.69±48.71) nmol/l(p=0.00), there are significant differences.(2) There is theralationgshipe between the result of emotional test and the level of cortisol.(3)There is nosignificant difference between pregnant women and non-pregnant women in follicular fluidcortisol, E2and T levels and E2/T on the OPU day. Conclusions: The emotional status of the infertile women affect the outcome ofIVF-ET treatment. Pregnancy rate of women with high scores of emotional test is few. There is positively correlatione between scores of emotional test and the level of cortisol. However, this study did not find significant impact of emotional factors on the ovarianfollicle.
