ObjectivesTo study the current situation of the professional attitude and it’s related factors of the probationer nurses.Based on this study.some measures are put forward to promote their positive and stable attitudes towards the profession.MethodsThis study is a cross-sectional design with Cluster sampling.628probationer nurses in Anhui Medical University and Anhui Medical College were selected for questionnaire investigation.Those completed questionnaires that included a self-developed questionnaire on general information.a questionnaire on professional attitudes, affected factors of professional attitude. Social Support Scale (SSRS) andSimplified Coping Style Questionnaire. All data obtained in this investigation were statistically analyzed by Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS10.0). Statistical methods such as t-test,one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression were used to analyze those data.Results1. The internal consisteney of Affected Factors of professional attitude was ex-amined and resulted in Cronbaeh’s a0.832,and the content validity index of the seale was0.922.2. For students, the score of professional attitudes was5.70±1.09; Different education, different birthplace and different professional selection nursing students occupation attitude score was different3. The social support score of probationer nurses was in the middle level, Different degree, whether the only-child social support score was different; nursing students with different educational levels of objective support and utilization of social support were different; different degree level, whether the only child or not and different students of nursing students’subjective support was different.4. there are differences in nursing students with different academic for positive coping; there are differences in nursing students of different genders for negative coping.5. Correlation analysis showed that professional attitude of the nursing students were positively related to social support factors,tobjective support, and positively related to active coping style,but negatively correlated with negative coping style.6.Multiple stepwise regressions found that the relative factors of professional attitudes followed the order of professional interest, social support, negative coping, clinical teachers’ occupation attitude, professional choices, positive coping, record of formal schooling, engaged in clinical nursing work stress, practice middle school to the knowledge and skills, employment pressure, the nursing professional development prospect, other nurses to nursing occupation attitude.ConclusionsProfessional attitudes of the all probationer nurses was neutral and positive. Through analysis, we discovered the main factors related to professional attitude of the probationer nurses were professional interest, social support and coping style. As a result, nursing educators should pay more attention and take more effective actions to improve professional attitudes of probationer nurses.
