ObjectiveTo analyze the relationship between nurses' SOC,Social support, coping styles and subjective well-being and explore the mechanism of SOC affecting subjective well-being through coping styles.Provide the evidence for improving clinical nurses well-being by improving their SOC.MethodIn this cross-sectional study,887 nurses from 8 hospitals of different grades and different natures in different cities of Anhui province were selected from August 2017 to October 2017 for questionnaire survey. The Sense of Coherence(SOC-13)was used to investigate the Sense of Coherence of the nurses. The total score of the scale was between 13 and 91 points. The higher the score, the higher the individual's SOC.The Social Support Rating Scale SSRS the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ)and the General Well-Being Schedule(GWS)investigate the social support, coping styles and subjective well-being of nurses.Pearson correlation analysis and Spearman correlation analysis were used to analyze the relationship between nurses' psychological coherence, social support, coping style and subjective well-being.Using SPSS-PROCESS macro program to test the mediation effect, was adopted to test the mediating effect and analyze the process and mechanism of the influence of psychological congruence on subjective well-being.Results(1)In this study, the subjective well-being score of nurses was(73.93 ±11.98),which was above the average level. The subjective well-being level of nurses was statistically significant in age, working years, professional title, level, marital status, whether they have children, whether they have an employer, the number of night shifts per month, physical condition, work intensity and job satisfaction.(P < 0.05)(2)The score of nurses' sense of coherence consistency was(56.01 ± 12.31),which was at a low level, and the SOC score was lower than the average score of the general population. The scores of each dimension of SOC were: meaningfulness(17.84±4.23),manageability(17.08±4.85),and comprehensibility(21.07±4.96).The social support score of nurses was(39.65±7.57).The scores of the three dimensions were:objective social support(2.98 ± 0.88),subjective social support(2.84 ± 0.61),and support utilization(2.61 ± 0.61).The positive response score of nurses was(22.01 ±6.43),and the negative response score was(8.10±3.60).The average score of positive coping was higher than that of negative coping.(3)According to the analysis of factors influencing the subjective well-being of nurses,48% of the total variation of subjective well-being was jointly explained by SOC,positive coping style, social support, nurses' health status, job satisfaction and negative coping style.(4)correlation analysis showed that subjective well-being and sense of coherence were significantly positive(r=0.652,P<0.01).There was a significant positive correlation between subjective well-being and social support(r=0.467,P<0.01).There was a significant positive correlation between subjective well-being and positive coping(r=0.348,P<0.01).There was a significant negative correlation between subjective well-being and negative coping(r=-0.153,P<0.01).There was a significant positive correlation between positive coping and psychological congruence(r=0.348,P<0.01).There was a significant negative correlation between negative coping and sense of coherence(r=-0.223,P<0.01).There was a significant positive correlation between social support and positive coping(r=0.473,P<0.01).(5)Social support and positive coping play a chain mediating role between the sense of coherence and subjective well-being.The mediating effect value is 0.099,accounting for 15.77% of the total effect of the sense of sense of coherence on life satisfaction. The chain mediating effect is produced by three indirect effect routes.indirect effect 1:sense of coherence and social support subjective well-being,indirect effect value 0.069(10.98%);indirect effect 2: Sense of coherence, social support and positive response to subjective well-being,indirect effect value 0.016(2.58%);indirect effect 3: the sense of coherence actively responds to subjective well-being,and the indirect effect value is 0.006(2.21%).(6)Social support and negative coping do not play a chain mediating role between psychological congruence and subjective well-being(P>0.05).ConclusionsThe score of nurses' subjective well-being is in the medium level, and there is still a lot of room for improvement. Therefore,it is suggested that relevant departments and nursing managers should pay attention to the importance of nurses' subjective well-being,and take targeted measures to improve nurses' social support and coping style, improve nurses' sense of coherence,so as to increase nurses' subjective well-being and maintain a better mental health state.
