The Curative Effect Observation On Ischemic Stroke Patients With Spastic Hemiplegia Treated With Pointing Therapy Plus Acupuncture

Ischemic Stroke is one of the most urgent, fatal and acute diseases. It is not only a serious threat to the patient’s life but also affects the quality of their life. Pointing Therapy has been proven affective in clinical treatments. This study was to make the curative effect observation on ischemic stroke patients with spastic hemiplegia treated with pointing therapy plus acupuncture.ObjectiveTo study the curative effect observation on ischemic stroke patients with spastic hemiplegia treated with pointing therapy plus acupuncture.MethodsThis study collected61cases,which met the standard of clinical study. They were randomly divided into two groups, the experimental group (acupuncture group) and the treatment group (pointing therapy plus acupuncture group), with31cases in the former and30ones in the latter. In the treatment group, both pointing therapy and acupuncture were applied. The acupuncture treatments were taken once every day and14times made up a therapeutic session. Shortly after acupuncture treatment, pointing therapy was used, and10times ended a session. The experimental treatment applied the same methods as the acupuncture treatments of treamtment group. After2-week treatment, the therapeutic efficacy was observed and the indexed including NDS scores, Barthel scores, MAS and CSI scores were assessed. A database was set up with the application of SPSS17.0and the therapeutic effects of the patients were comprehensively evaluated.Results ①There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of ages, genders, courses of the disease NDS scores, Barthel scores, Mas and CSI scores,(P>0.05)②The neural function injury situation was improved compared with before treatments in both groups. The difference comparison of the NDS scores before and after treatments in the two groups with rank test indicated that P<0.05, showing that there was significant difference of changes of NDS scores between the two groups. After the treatment, the shoulder muscle strength, lower limbs muscle strength and walking ability of treatment group have remarkable improvements compared with the experimental group (P<0.05)③When examining the Barthel scores, there was no clear difference between the two groups (P>0.05).④After observing the Mas scores, it is found that the two groups could effectively reduce the abnormal muscle tension compared with pretherapy (P<0.05, P<0.01). But pointing therapy plus acupuncture had better efficacy in a short time.⑤When studying the CSI scores, there was no apparent difference after the treatment of control group (P>0.05). However, treatment group effectively relieved the spasticity. Obvious difference was noted after the treatment (P<0.01). There was also clear difference between the two groups after the treatments (P<0.05)ConclusionsPointing therapy plus acupuncture for patients with Ischemic Stroke, possesses greater effect in relieving neurologic deficiency, improving performances of daily activities, enhancing motor function and alleviating muscle spasticity, and eventually helps improve the living quality and shorten the recovery period of post ischemic stroke hemiplegic for the patients. It is recommended to be widely applied in clinical treatment for this kind of disease.
