Home-based Community Health Care System

Home-based Community health care system proposed in this subject is designed for old people who spend most of their time at home. By designing Home medical information terminal which is placed in the user’s home and Service program for Community Hospital, the system can achieve the purpose that doctors, nurses of Community Hospital provide medical services for the elderly when they at home. Instead of using personal computers, this study demonstrated a solution for embedded family tele-monitoring medical system, which can achieve low power consumption and low financial cost tele-monitoring for home services. By using the customize method to transport information to doctors, this system can deliver information rapidly as well as saving network resource. Home medical information terminal is the transmission medium of the system, It integrates many types of medical interface. By connecting home medical equipment, Home medical information terminal collects user’s medical information and send it to Community Hospital. The connection between Community Hospital and Home medical information terminal is based on TCP/IP protocol, and the access mode is ADSL. The service program of Community Hospital is consists of two parts: the medical information processing server program and doctor diagnose terminal program. The program is used to manage many types of user’s medical information produced by multiple home medical information terminals and the feedback of doctors’diagnoses. By connecting12-lead ECG to Home-based Community health care system, this paper verifies the data transfer process and integrity of the system.
