ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of3-yang points warm acupuncture as main in treating primary dysmenorrhea (cold-damp stagnation). But also for the treatment of Primary dysmenorrhea in3-yang points warm acupuncture as main in treating primary dysmenorrhea to provide objective clinical basis.MethodsSixty-three case of primary dysmenorrhea met diagnostic criteria, inclusion and exclusion criteria of the subject were chosen, and divided randomly into treatment group and control group. Treatment group got32ceases, whom were treated with3-yang points warm acupuncture as main five days before the menstrual period, once every other day, until the menstrual onset. Control group got31cases with oral tianqitongjingjiao4tablets every time,3times one day, also treated five days before the menstrual period until the menstrual onset. All of them were treated for three months and the subjects cured was followed up one time three months later. The integral of dysmenorrhea main symptoms, the score of VAS, and the nine Chinese Medical symptoms of the tow group were recorded, before and after every course of treatment. And then establish the database, and analyze them by SPSS19.0software package.Resultsâ‘ The integral of dysmenorrhea main symptoms and the score of VAS analysis: Both treatment had remarkable effect on primary dymenorrhea (cold-damp stagnation). After every course of treatment, all the integral of dysmenorrhea main symptoms and the score of VAS had statistical difference between tow groups, P<0.05. It showed that3-yang points warm acupuncture as main was more effective than oral tianqitongjingjiao. â‘¡The nine Chinese Medical symptoms analysis:Both the treatment could improve the Chinese Medical symptoms, such as cold and unpalpable abdominal pain, the amount of blood clot, etc. It indicated that both the treatment could improve the body constitution of cold-damp stagnation, except for relieving pain.the cold and unpalpable abdominal pain and diarrhea had statistical difference between tow groups, P<0.05. It showed that3-yang points warm acupuncture as main was more effective than oral tianqitongjingjiao in these two symptoms.â‘¢Total effective rates analysis:In treatment group, the cure rate was18.75%, and the total effective rate was100%; while in the control group, the cure rate was6.45%, and the total effective rate was83.87%. The two groups had significant differences (P<0.05), and the treatment group was superior to control group.â‘£Effect of different degrees of primary dysmenorrhea analysis:The effect of different degrees of primary dysmenorrhea had no statistical difference, P>0.05. The effect of both treatment on the mild and severe degree of primary dysmenorrhea had no statistical difference, P>0.05. But on midrange degree of primary dysmenorrhea,3-yang points warm acupuncture as main was more effective than oral tianqitongjngjiaonang, and the effect of both treatment had statistical difference, P<0.05.ConclusionsTreating primary dysmenorrhea (cold-damp stagnation) with3-yang points warm acupuncture as main, which had definite curative effect and had no side effect, was significant better than oral tianqitongjingjiaonang. It is valuable to study and extend the application.
