Along with the contemporary rapid development of science and technology, the deepening information revolution and widely launched informationization construction are promoting the transformation of the economic society to information economy and knowledge economy.When it comes to logistics industry, the "the Logistics Industry Restructuring and Revitalization Plan" promulgated by the Sate Council in Sep.2009put emphasis on "raising the level of informationization" and "promoting the management informationization of enterprise, the widespread application of information technology and the establishment of logistics information acquisition, processing and service exchange sharing mechanism".As important logistics nodes, ports serve as material exchange hubs between different regions and countries. The informationization construction of modern ports plays a key role in the information flow of logistics industry. Consequently, the informationization construction level has become one of the most significant criteria of modern ports. The research on Cargo Handing Operation Management Information System has both theoretical and practical value.In this thesis, through analyzing current domestic and foreign port informationization application and research status, taking one domestic port as research object, the author summarizes the problems in its existing production information system, analyzes its cargo handing operation process in detail and introduces its functional requirement based on field research. Via analyzing the definition, basic characteristics and deployment models of Cloud-Computing technology, the author combines it with the development of the port's production operation information software platform and emphasizes its application points and advantages. Subsequently, the author introduces the information platform architecture of port production operation system integrated with Cloud-Computing technology, divides each function modules and designs a concrete database structure.In this thesis, the author chooses Microsoft's Cloud Computing platform-Windows Azure Platform as the program development environment and makes full use of the infrastructure, storage, calculation and other IT resources provided by the cloud service provider. According to the function module partition in local design, operation commissioning, the author analyzes and implements the software management of the ship import application module, the shipping forecast management module and the dynamic production management module respectively. Then the whole system is deployed to the cloud, local database is relocated to SQL Azure database of the cloud. The port production operation platform is formally extended to the cloud. Besides, the author analyzes the security and cost performance of the operation of system on cloud which concerns the customers'business interest. In sum, the thesis tries to introduce cloud computing technology to port production operation system. For other ports which plan to combine their operation management with cloud computing, the thesis can serve as meaningful reference.
