With the rapid development of science and wireless communication technology, need of high-speed and great-amount data service grows faster and faster.The traditional framework of communicational network has faced terms of challenges in this occasion and is crying for a great improvement to meet the growing needs of the market. Nowadays, the research work of wireless communication technology will step into 4G period immediately. LTE system is undoubtly the focus of universal attention. As a smooth evolution on the basis of LTE, LTE-Advanced system has been enhanced in many terms to support the growing need of communications.To get a high speed as 1 Gbit/s downlink and 500 Mbit/s uplink in the future wireless communication system, 3GPP proposed many key technologies for LTE-Advanced, such as enhanced MIMO, Cooperative multi-point(CoMP), Relay and Carrier Aggregation(CA). CA is one of these new key technologies which aims for higher data transmission speed and more efficient spectrum utilization.This paper commits itself to the research of CA technology. It is devided into six parts:the first two parts are brief introductions to LTE system, LTE-Advanced system, their key technologies and relationship of these two systems. The third part is focused on CA technology. It expounds the background, the principles and the current research situation of CA technology. At the end of this part, it also discussed the impact of guard band when CA technology is used in LTE-Advanced system. The forth part studied the DCI blind decoding in LTE-Advanced system, especially when it is chanllenged by CA technololgy in this situation. We proposed some methods to improve DCI blind decoding process by decreasing times of blind detecting for UE in LTE-Advanced system and emulated these methods to explain their improvement to the system. The fifth part of this paper focusd on realization of UL HARQ under CA technology. It proposed certain solutions and got some conclusions by emulating these proposals in systematical platform. At the end of this paper,part six summarizes the whole article, and as an extension of this paper, it also look forward to the futurity of CA technology, which is one of the most popular wireless communication technologies these years.
