Objective:to introduce therapy of urinary incontinence after stroke by electro-acupuncture activate baliao-point Combined with moxibustion and to evaluate its outcome.Methods:60 inpatients with urinary incontinence after stroke were selected from the Department of acupuncture,Affiliated Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine of Tongji Medica College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology between July 2009 and May 2010, and randomly divided into treatment group(n=30),which was treated by electro-acupuncture activate baliao-point,30 minutes every time, then pull out the acupuncture and put the moxa box with live moxa on qihai and guanyuan points, once daily,A course of treatment is two weeks, And control group(n=30),which taken traditional Chinese medicine(suo quan Pill). Taken 6g once time,three times a day and take the pills two weeks as a cours of treatment. Through observing The patients clinical score and the The urodynamic examination results compared with that before treatment, study on the clinical therapeutic of treatment therapy of urinary incontinence after stroke by electro-acupuncture activate baliao-point Combined with moxibustionResult:The clinical score of the treatment group were improved significantly compared with that before treatment [(9.52±1.46), (3.15±1.60)]and the urodynamic examination results of the treatment group were improved significantly compared with that before treatment [initial volume of bladder filling:(126.36±24.85), (247.88±48.85) ml, maximum volume of bladder:(339.70±41.57), (549.39±81.85) ml residual urine volume (83.03±13.34), (49.39±11.71) P<0.05].
