Study On The Infuence Of Nursing Management Intervention On Nursing Quality Of Patients Accepting Mechanical Ventilation

[Objective]To probe into the influence of nursing management intervention on nursing quality of patients accepting mechanical ventilation, exert a coordinating and supervising influence of nursing department on nursing of severe mechanical ventilation patients, and bring the nursing into a scientific and standard play.[Methods]A total of 85 patients undergoing mechanical ventilation in ICU from July,2008 to December,2009 were selected as test group. While another 92 cases accepting mechanical ventilation in ICU from January,2006 to December,2007 were regarded as control group. For patients in test group, nursing department had set up mechanical ventilation nursing instruction team, worked out nursing standard and organized training for nurses in ICU on related knowledge and nursing skills about mechanical ventilation. Nursing consultation had been organized and nursing quality of mechanical ventilation patients in test group had been monitored. However, patients in control group had not accepted systematic intervention of nursing department. Then both working state of nurses before and after the intervention and examination results of nurses before and after accepting training have been compared. Incidences of complications in both groups have also been compared.[Results]There were significant differences in both theoretical and manipulation performances of nurses between before and after training (P<0.01). After intervention was carried out, nurses felt it smooth to work for mechanical ventilation patients. In terms of the incidence of ventilator associated pneumonia and non-planned extubation, there were significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05)[Conclusion]The systematic intervention of nursing department is helpful to raise nursing quality of mechanical ventilation patients.
