| Objective:It is an open controlled trials based on TCM differentiation and treatment, which evaluats the clinic effects and security by the quantitative scores of symptoms and signs of Chinese medicine, NIHSS score, Barthel Index, Modified Rankin Scale.Method:Based on TCM differentiation,200 cases of acute cerebral infarction enrolled into treatment groups (obstruction of collateral due to wind-phlegm group, phlegm-heat and sthenia of fu-organ group, qi-dificiency and blood-stasis group, Yin-deficiency and wind generating group) and control group. The control group had basic treatment giving 100mg of aspirin orally, qd, yet the treatment groups were given tianma gouteng drink, xinglou chengqi decoction buyang huanwu decoction, zheng gan xi feng decoction,2 times a day for 21 days based on the basic treatment. All groups were evaluated by the quantify Chinese score, NIHSS, Barthel Index, Modified Rankin Scale with SPSS 16.0 statistical software for data analysis. Results:Compared with the control group in gender, age, and severity of disease, the treatment groups have no significant difference (P> 0.05).The effects of the treatment groups are better than the control group (P<0.05) by comparing the symptoms and signs in Chinese medicine score, NIHSS score, Barthel Index score, clinical improvement and TCM syndrome efficacy. The Modified Rankin Scale score of all treatment groups compared with the control group, has no significant difference (P> 0.05).Conclusions:The clinical effects of acute cerebral infarction based on TCM differentiation have significant difference in the improvement of neurological deficits to conventional western medicine. |
