With the decreasing quality of non-renewable energy resource of human being, the energy crisis is getting more and more serious. It is imperative to do researches on developing and harnessing new energy resources. As is known, the ocean wave energy is a kind of clean and renewable energy resource. Since the stored wave energy resource is abundant in our country, developing a novel floating type of wave energy device does great benefit to us. The issue is how will the waves can convert into electricity.To effectively achieve the converting of wave power to electrical power, this paper proposed a new form of permanent magnet linear generator for sea wave energy extraction applications. As the middle part of the waves and the electric energy can be linked to is the important role of a bridge.The wide application of permanent magnet material in the modern industry make mashine performance have improved a lot, so the permanent magnet mashine used in wave power field that is an inevitable choice, Compared with the traditional rolling machine, the permanent magnet reciprocating generator makes the rotor act in a straight line, which perfectly matches the characters of wave movements.A four-side permanent magnet linear generator has been reseached in this paper and each side is a unilateral flat type linear generator. Based on the finite element analysis theory the electromagnetic field has been calculated with principle of Finite Element Method ,and the dynamic simulation has been done with applications of ANSYS and ANSOFT.The stress of the floating type wave generator device is the buoy. The buoy designed in this paper is wrapped in permanent magnet linear generator stator external. Its shape and size are disedes by the stress of the generator stator and the buoy themselves and by the impact of the wave, so in this paper the material of all the parts of the permanent magnet linear generator stator and buoy has a choice and analyzed, thus the buoy's shape and size is designed. Finally the EMF of the permanent magnet linear generator is processed with rectifier and inverter by SIMULINK,and the power post-processing circuit is designed, which make the EMF more stable and rules, that can be in order to the combined to the grid of the wave generator.
