Air domination has become the target of leading big countries. Recently there is a development of integration operation mode by using early warning aircraft as command center and cooperating with other aircraft types. Facing the large range of air network fire system, remote air-to-air missile is one of the most important killers. With the help from beyond visual range (BVR) attacking ability of long-rang air-to-air missile, the enemy aircrafts would be found and attacked earlier than ours. So we can have plenty of time to avoid being attacked. Countries in Europe, America and Russia all have their own advanced air-to-air missile while ours is just at the beginning. There is an algorithm to expand attacking range by changing the guidance law for improving remote attack ability as far as possible.The guidance laws for long-range air-to-air missile are studied in this paper, combining the character of long-range air-to-air missile. The main contributions are as follows: Firstly, study two midcourse guidance laws, which have good applicability and can be connected easily with terminal guidance law, suitable for long-rang air-to-air missile. They are Optimal Trajectory-shaPing midcourse guidance law and Singular Perturbation Optimum midcourse guidance law. Then two terminal guidance laws are researched, suitable for terminal guidance phase of long-range air-to-air missile. They are 3D proportional guidance law and differential game guidance law. A guidance law is proposed to be suitable for the midcourse and terminal guidance handing-off considering problems attended in the handing-off phase. Finally, the designed midcourse guidance law and terminal guidance law are tested respectively through the simulation. The whole trajectory simulations are proposed combining with the principle in midcourse and terminal guidance handing-off phase and the performance characteristics of the guidance law are concluded.
