ERP is a very important management tool for modernization enterprise. Oracle is one of biggest ERP software producer which has the advanced management thought and rich experience on manufacture industry. In the process of an enterprise's ERP implement, for achieving the optimization to business management flow, The software system must have certain flexibility to adapt the enterprise's variable situations and special details. To fulfill these requirements, the secondary development based on Oracle ERP is a inevitable choice.This paper aims at making solutions on the problems of ERP implementation for DFSTW (Dong Fang Steam Turbine Work). First, the paper elaborates the condition of ERP in the domestic enterprise's application. Secondly, the paper carries on the explanation to the secondary development in the ERP implementation process function. Meets down, according to the secondary development practices, the paper analyses external secondary development based on Oracle ERP system pattern, including four main points:1. The external secondary development Based on Oracle ERP system pattern analysis.2. The determination of development pattern and the choice of development kit.3. Establishment of the external secondary development flows and standard.4. From the different application module data relationship's analysis, to the data interface routine analysis, the paper discusses the practical applications of the external secondary development.The paper summarizes the superiority and the insufficiency of the external secondary development pattern based on Oracle the ERP system with project development practice. Finally, through the Oracle ERP development situation analysis, the paper forecasts the next secondary development way.
