Information Visualization Tools, Comparative Study

We are living in a time of exploding information. The efforts to explore the complicated relations among complex abstract information give birth to a new field-information visualization. This dissertation introduces the concept, types, technologies, and the state of the art of information visualization, the main part researches the representative visualization tools, such as Prefuse,CiteSpace, VitaPad and IVT ,grapples the core technology of these tools, and then compares and analyses the framework, technology, function of these tools, summarizes the commonness and specialities, analyses their advantages and disadvantages. The main innovation of this dissertation is that we build a tool frame RDVI—E of china information visualization by analyzing results. We hope this frame will fit to form china information visualization tool.
