Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is a major microvascular complication of diabetes which can result in severe anesthesia, pain, obstinate ulcer and so on. These cause great pain for patients and study of incident mechanism is not yet elucidated and there is no especially effective medicine or clinical treatment yet. research has shown that the incidence of many toxicity hyperglycemic,microangiopathy,oxidative stress,lack of nerve growth factor,autoimmunity,vitamin deficiency interaction of various risk factors lead to nerve cell damage,demye- lination of nerve fibers in the ischemic. Donec more than a reasonable application of Western medicine hypoglycemic drugs, strict diet, good blood glucose control, diabetic condition as the basic principles, supplemented by a variety of drugs symptomatic treatment, but symptomatic treatment only temporarily part of the solution, while the role of Chinese medicine Multitargeted, multichannel nature of Chinese medicine provides a feasible treatment of the disease.Today Traditional Chinese Medicine commonly use the therapy of tonifying qi and yin and promoting blood circulation for removing blood stasis, or invigoration liver and kidney and clearing heat and promoting diuresis. However for the ones who are of yang deficiency body or yin deficiency affects yang after a long term disease the effect is not obvious. In this case, author of this article generalized the clinical experience of Professor Gao Tianshu which is about treating the yang deficiency and phlegm stasis syndrome of DPN. This also provides support for better prevention and treatment of DPN with Traditional Chinese Medicine.
