Type 2 Diabetes Quality Of Life, Clinical Symptoms And Laboratory Indicators

Objective:We attempted to explore the correlation among course of diseases, complications,quality of life and laboratory index through the study of the quality of life of diabetic patients with different course of diseases,to guide the clinical interventions for patients with different course of diseases.At the same time,search the correlation of TCM symptoms and quality of life with the applying of the TCM Clinical Differentiation Profile.Methods:Investigate the 120 T2DM patients with the laboratory index,DQOL, TCM Clinical Differentiation Profile and complications related to this study.Divided the patients into four groups acoording to the length of the course of diseases.30 patients whose courses of diseases is less than 5 years(GroupⅠ),30 patients whose courses of diseases is between 6 and 10 years(GroupⅡ),30 patients whose courses of diseases is between 11 and 15 years(GroupⅢ),30 patients whose courses of diseases is more than 16 years(GroupⅣ).SPSS 11.5 is adopted to analyze the relative data afer they have been entered.The main statistic methods contain descriptive analysis, single-factor analysis of variance,multiple comparisons and pearson correlation analysis.If P＜0.05,the difference is considered remarkable.Results:The quality of life of the T2DM patients and the course of disease are closely related(P＜0.05).From the comparative study of the different groups,we found that groupⅠscored significantly lower than groupⅢandⅣ(P＜0.05),groupⅡscored significantly lower than groupⅣ(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference between groupⅠandⅡ,groupⅡand groupⅢ,groupⅢand groupⅣ(P＞0.05). From the study of every aspect of the quality of life,we found that physical dimension was significantly correlated with the course of diseases(P＜0.05),while social relations dimension,psychological/spiritual dimension and treatment Dimension have no significant correlations with the course of diseases(P＞0.05).When mention TCM Clinical Differentiation Profile,and social aspect,there was no significant difference among different groups(P＞0.05).It can both proved that psychological/spiritual dimension is one of the most important influencing factors of the quality of live whatever we studied the every aspect of by DQOL or TCM Clinical Differentiation Profile and there was no significant correlation between psychological/spiritual dimension and course of diseases.From the study of TCM symptoms,the average scores from high to low are weakness,thirsty,feel dry and want to drink and urinate frequently.There is no remarkable correlation between laboratory index and QOL, which proved that only using laboratory index to estimate the clinical effect is not enough.Conclusion:The quality of life of T2DM patients closely related to the course of diseases,the longer the course of the disease is,the worse the quality of life is.The change of quality of life is a dynamic and slow progress.It is proved that psychological/spiritual dimension is one of the most important influencing factors of the quality of live.in the therapy of T2DM health education should be strengthen, paying particular attention to the psychological counseling of early T2DM patients. The study in the fields of TCM symptoms shows that many T2DM patients'Qi,yin or kidney is deficient,so we should pay more attentions to increasing their qi yin and nursing their Shenqi.There is no remarkable correlation between laboratory index and QOL,which proved that only using laboratory index to estimate the clinical effect is not enough.The quality of life is the Comprehensive Evaluation for T2DM living conditions and an effective tool for clinical efficacy.
