BackgroundQuality of life(QOL)as an endpoint evaluation index has been widely used in the evaluation of various chronic diseases.Health utility value refers to the degree of people’s preference for a certain state of health. It is an indicator that must be collected in the cost-utility analysis of pharmacoeconomics. However,in the current studies on the measurement of quality of life and the acquisition of health utility value, different scales can be selected for the same disease, and the measurement results are not nearly the same.In view of this situation, researchers often encounter various difficulties in the selection of scales. If there is a comparative analysis between different scales for a certain disease,it can provide some scientific reference for the selection of scales.Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease,as a common gynecological disease in clinical practice,is one of the most important inflammation frequently occurring in women of childbearing age. This study aims to compare the results of different quality of life scales in measuring the quality of life of patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease,to provide a reference for the selection of quality of life scales for special diseases, and to explore the comparative study of universal scale, which has certain representativeness.ObjectiveTo compare the life quality and health utility of different general quality of life scales for patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. The life quality and health utility values of patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease were measured by different general quality of life scales to evaluate the differentiation degree of patients with different disease degrees and the ability to reflect the subjective feelings of patients. The analysis results can help scholars choose the scale according to the actual situation of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease research, and provide some scientific reference basis for the study on the quality of life of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.MethodsLiterature research,in order to "quality of life/life quality, quality of survival","quality of life scale contrast","quality of life",quality of life scale" for the search term in CNKI),WANFANGj VIP Springer,PubMed database retrieval of literature since 2000,,summed up based on the preference of universal life quality scale, the applicable scope of the application and selection basis,to support the scale of choice.Clinical questionnaire survey method, according to the scheme set of standard screening of patients with chronic pelvic inflammation, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease using PRO assessment scale distinguish the severity of the disease, and then use direct measures of VAS patients health utility value, and use three common scales(EQ-5D scale,SF-6D scale,HUI2 scale)respectively to measure the patient’s quality of life and health utility value.According to the different severity of the disease, the life quality data of patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease were divided into three groups:light, medium and heavy, and the data were double-input using Excel 2010.SPSS software was used for statistical analysis to evaluate the differentiation of three general quality of life scales and the ability to respond to patients’subjective feelings.ResultThe study found that the quality of life and health utility of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease were lower in patients aged 40 years and older than younger patients.Married patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease had the lowest quality of life and health utility, followed by divorced and widowed patients, and unmarried patients had the highest quality of life.In terms of occupation, the quality of life and health utility value of patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease who are self-employed and engaged in agriculture are lower than those in other occupations. The quality of life and health utility of patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease with higher education(master degree or above)are higher than those with lower education(bachelor degree or below). The life quality and health utility values of patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease with monthly income higher than 21000 yuan were generally lower, while those with monthly income lower than 3300 yuan were relatively higher.Overall, among the three universal quality of life scales based on preference, the results of health utility value measured by HUI2 scale for patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease are higher, followed by EQ-5D scale and SF-6D scale.Direct measurement of VAS in patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease showed the lowest health utility. All of the four health utility measures used in this study can effectively distinguish patients with mild and moderate chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.Among the three universal life quality scales based on preference,EQ-5D scale has the highest ability to distinguish the degree of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, followed by SF-6D scale and HUI2 scale. The intra-group correlation coefficient between HUI2 and VAS is the highest and the consistency is the best.In terms of measured values, the difference between SF-6D scale and VAS was the smallest. The EQ-5D scale is more consistent with the VAS value when measuring the health utility of patients with moderate chronic pelvic inflammation, while the SF-6D scale and HUI2 scale are more consistent with the VAS value when measuring the health utility of patients with moderate chronic pelvic inflammation. From the perspective of overall distribution, the overall distribution of health utility values measured by the four methods for measuring health utility values of patients with chronic pelvic inflammation is different, among which the distribution of HUI2 scale and VAS is the most similar. From the perspective of correlation, the health utility values of patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease measured by the three preferred universal quality of life scales are not significantly correlated with VAS,among which the EQ-5D scale has the best correlation with VAS,followed by HUI2 scale, and the SF-6D scale has a relatively poor correlation with VAS.ConclusionIn general, the EQ-5D scale,SF-6D scale and HUI2 scale have a good degree of differentiation for patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease with different degrees of disease.EQ-5D scale is applicable to measure the health utility of patients with moderate chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.SF-6D and HUI2 can better reflect the subjective feelings of patients when studying the health utility of patients with mild chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.
