University Continuing Medical Education Problems And Countermeasures

High-level colleges and universities play an important role in continuing medical education.Under the guidance of the theory of high-level education, this study which bases on reviewing and summarizing the development history of continuing medical education in Chinese and other countries and collecting the current fruit about it,analyzes actuality about the development of continuing medical education in colleges and universities, find where the problem lies, and put forward some solutions.This paper mainly discusses the problems which lies in continuing medical education in the high-level colleges and universities and countermeasures in the following aspects.First, the development of continuing medical education in Chinese and other countries.Continuing Medical Education is a kind of lifetime education that people who have completed medical education training after graduation or had the secondary professional post and worked for sanitation technology can mainly study new theories, knowledge, technologies and methods. The objective is to enable sanitation professionals in their whole professional career maintain lofty medical ethics, constantly enhance their professional capacity and levels, improve service quality,and meet the development of the medical technology and sanitation project.United States is the earliest country in the world which has developed continuing education since the 19th century.Other countries such as the former Soviet Union, Britain, France, Japan, Australia and etc have achieved great development.Chinese continuing medical education system and management system has been basically established since Chinese Republic of China being founded and continuing medical education developing for decades.Second, the interaction of high-level colleges and universities and continuing medical education .Through carrying out continuing medical education activities, the organizations and institutions are playing an unneglectable role,such as high-leve colleges and universities, learning parties and health care units,though high-leve colleges and universities is the protagonist undoubtedly,they possess the advanced teaching concept, high-leve teachers, which other organizations have not,it induces them play an important role in the process of continuing medical education.Continuing medical education can enrich the educational function in colleges and universities, and promote their development,which is an important means to strengthen teaching, medicine, scientific research, building management team, and has greatly positive significance.Third, the problems existing in continuing medical education.With the constant evelopment of continuing medical education in Chinese and other countries,ours have made remarkable achievements. However,it also can be seen that enough has not been done,and some problems are still existent,which can be summarized as the six "is not in place":cognition, management,encouragement, means,devotion,and monitoring.Fourth,a variety of measures promote the development of continuing medical education synchronously.According to the development actuality of medical education,carrying out and existing problems,conjunction with the "Ministry of Health Continuing Medical Education'11th Five-Year'plan", "Order for Continuing Medical Education (Trial)", the author believes that colleges and universities should rely on their own advantages, changing concepts,seizing the opportunity,and combinating with reality, put a number of measures together,and further promote the development of continuing medical education.These measures can be summed up in seven main aspects.Fifth,according to the policies about continuing medical education and development actuality,we put forward the suggestions that further promoting the development of continuing medical education in four facets.
