Application Research On Opnet Network Simulation Technology In Campus Network Performance Testing

With the development of digitization and informationization, campus network performance plays a vital role in improving the teaching of colleges and universities, thus becomes one of the essential infrastructure of university teaching, researching and business handling.The thesis consists of the following 4 parts:first, the general methods and quantitative examination tools of the network performance test are introduced; second, the core technology of OPNET Modeler simulation software including OPNET Modeler characteristics, 3-layer modeling mechanism, simulation procedures, discrete event mechanism and communication mechanism is presented; third, network simulation method is applied to operate simulation test on the network performance of certain campus. Suggestions of network performance assessment and optimization covers modeling node, process and network, setting up a campus network to simulate, increasing users to simulate, revising part parameters of the main application server to simulate and output the simulation result, and analyzing the result and drawing the conclusion are put forward to through examining the simulation data; Finally, the expectation of the simulation technology is advanced.
